Llanchon is a fantastic and authentic place where you will find the real Peru with not much tourists. We were very welomed by Felix an his wife and the food is fantastic ... but business is business there and prices tends to be variable. We had been told that boat for Taquile is 90 soles and others more or less...

Hey, Me and my boyfriend were there 3 freezing nights during august. We had 3 thick wool blankets but I still had to put all possible clothes I had with me, when I went to sleep. Every morning my nose was totally stuck, because probably the blankets are not ventilated once in a while, so full of dust. The place...

We did stay here for 3 nights and were very pleased by the really friendly host Felix Coila and his family. Be prepared for really cold nights, a good hot shower in the morning helps. Don't forget to visit the peak at Capacicha, you have an outstanding panorama here over the lake and the highest mountains of Bolivia.

We spent a few days exploring Lake Titicaca and stayed in Puno, on the islands and in Hospedaje Samary with Felix Turpo and his family and this was by far the best place we stayed during our trip. The islands felt much more commercialised and touristy than we were expecting but this was exactly what we'd hoped for. The house...

First off, you can forget the name of this place. Everyone on the Peninsula seems to know it as "Casa de Felix" since everyone seems to know Felix. He really is awe inspiring in his efforts to build up the tourism capacity of the xxxx Peninsula. Felix's is located about a kilometer or two from the square in Lxxxxxx. Our...

Felix started building his hostal in 1997 after working as a builder in Puno from his 12th birthday. He has worked with his wife and 6 children over the years making improvements and building up the business. The house is set perfectly, slightly up the hill, on the edge of the peninsula. This gives you wonderful views of the lake...

Felix is a masterful host! He has organized his home to provide comfortable accommodations, but you can still get a sense for his life and meet his family. He will charge for kayak trips/taxiing, but the price is reasonable and our days here were some of the most memorable of our trip. In fact, we got engaged on the beach...

My wife stayed at Hospedaje Samary in Sept 2014. If was a wonderful experience. We had an opportunity to enjoy the striking beauty of the lake and peninsula and interact with the locals who are still practicing a very traditional way of life. The food, prepared by Felix's wife, Magna, was authentic and very delicious. Felix was very friendly and...

The experience is unbeatable. We loved interacting with the locals and especially the children. The views are amazing and we had some lovely walks. However: 1. The total bill comes as quite a shock. Felix charges each person (not by room). Any use of boats or canoes is charged. You get the impression that these are provided and there's no...

After we read all good reviews on tripadvisor and other travelblogs we decided to stay there while in lake Titicaca and were a bit disjointed. The place is located in Santa Maria - a small village in Llachon. There is almost no route to get there, you will indeed not meet any of the tourist crowd and view is indeed...
