Slightly cold but nice and not very crowded. Very close to main square. Hot water atbanybtime and very helpful staff 24/7. No problem with laundry and if you need a beer you can buy it atbthe hostel. Recommended for shopping and city stay. Convenient location close to train station and few minutes walk to Harbour.

I found the hotel excellent value. The hot water, tv and wifi all worked perfectly even if there was a little wait for the water to warm. The location is an easy walk to the main square and restaurants. Yes it is cold. I headed under the bedclothes at night, but then so is the entiire altiplano, especially in mid...

I stayed here as part of a tour to Puno. The good side was letting me in at 5.45am despite not staying there until the following night. Breakfast was basic, but reasonably priced. There was no bar or facilities to talk of otherwise. The trip to the town centre was about 15 minutes. Don't expect too much.

After getting out of a taxi and finding my preferred Hostal booked out I was happy to find this one open. Their English is not great but it is adept for telling costs, location, and what's on in Puno. Room was large and was amazed that cable tv was included in the price (50 solas a night). Old style 70's...

I'm not sure why this place was so cold, but from the minute you walk into the lobby and into your room, it was an icebox. In addition, the "breakfast" was just a hard roll, a liquid coffee mix and juice that I'm pretty sure was Tang. The plus was the location. It seemed very safe and was within 3...

We had a room at 4/5th floor. If you have susceptibility to altitude sickness I recommend choosing lower floor as there is no elevator. The room was spacious and clean enough for economical class. Location is fine - close to the center and no so far to the port/Titicaca. Continental breakfast included was a little poor (sandwich, small peace of...

This place is amazing. The price was excellent for what was offered. I had a room with a king-size bed. The room was located towards the street side. The windows were really good and therefore street noise was literally not noticeable. They even had drapes which blacked out the daylight, which is kind of a rare in an economically priced...

“Out the back or up are quieter. Maybe ask for a room with sun, but at 3800 metres all rooms will be cold at night. Stairs: if affected by altitude, rooms on lower floor are preferable.”
