I would not recommend staying here. It's far away from the center, has no view, there were loud packs of dogs wandering the street at night, loud construction during the day, and no running water. O ya, and she'll just keep your change if she feels entitled to it. Find a hotel closer to town, it's work the extra money....

The proprietor of La Casa de Manuelita, Pilar, is the most warm hearted woman in all of Puno. She's enthusiastic and goes way out of her way to make sure that her guests get what they need, from suggestions on places to go to making sure the utilities were working well. Pilar even personally went up onto the roof to...

Extremely friendly owner, she did her best to make us feel at home and help us out despite the language barrier - we used Google translate quite frequently! The room was very clean and towels were provided. The room was also cleaned during the day while we were out. She kept our bags safe for us while we did an...

Manuelita is a very nice lady with a nice hotel. The location is only 3 blocks from the plaza de amas. There are plenty of great restaurants and things to see close. She will also help you book your tours of the lake. I recommend this place as a comfortable place to sleep and place your bags. Shower water was...

We chose it for the price, and weren't expecting much, but couldn't have been happier there. Clean, warm room. Consistently hot shower. Strong wi-fi, small breakfast, convenient location. From the moment we arrived, we were treated so well! The innkeeper was so appreciative, friendly and attentive. She made sure we were comfortable and well fed. It's not in a bad...

My gf was terriblely I'll in the middle of the night and we only had the basic remedies available in the travel kit. The inn keeper must have heard our distress, because around 3 am we had a knock on the door and we were presented with hot water bottles and various cups of herbal tees which after some helpful...

Nice small hotel, 2-3 blocks from the main square, the ladies who take care of it are toughtful and really helpful. Gave us a map and helped us booking a tour for amantani, taquile and uros islands (which we paid much cheaper than the other people in our tour that had book elsewhere). Rooms are nice, clean and there is...

Manuelita is just the best--she is the personification of a love and hugs. From the second we got in she was helpful, sweet and bustled with energy--she RAN up and down the stairs to help us get in and situated into our room (which was spotless and super clean). Great breakkie w/homemade pancakes, juice, tea....man. Super recommendable on all counts!

We arrived late, cold and tired into Puno, and had no reservation but decided to try Casa de Manuelita anyway. I'm really glad that we did. The room was clean, comfortable and stylish. However, the real gem here is the hostess. She was the very definition of accommodating, providing us with everything we could possibly have wanted, even rising before...
