Stayed on the Yavari for 1 night. A fascinating experience and an amazing piece of restoration work. We had the entire ship to ourselves and had wonderful views at sunset/sunrise of Puno and Lake Titicaca. Bunk bed accommodation a real throwback, but certainly warm enough with all the blankets on offer The only slight downside was that we arrived slightly...

The Yavari is located on Lake Titicaca in Puno. It has an amazing history and has been lovingly restored to its current state. Its maintenance and upkeep are undertaken by a charity and it looks very much like they are working hard to improve the facilities on board. It is a very good looking boat and a really unusual place...

We stayed one night on board the Yavari after two nights in central Puno (which seems a long way from the lake that brings all the travellers to the city). By contrast the Yavasi couldn't be closer to the water and we will probably remember this one night long after we have forgotten most of the other places we stayed...

The unique experience of sleeping on a ship in the highest navigable lake in the world. The staff/crew gave us an excellent tour of the ship and it's history! The cabin is small but just being there is priceless.

The staff we met were very friendly and welcoming. The room was small but there were plenty of blankets and we were given hot water bottles so coldness wasn't a problem. There is a great view of Puno from the boat. We were also given a tour of the boat by one of the staff which was very interesting. There...

We were the only guests checking in that evening; the crew was welcoming and helpful. We didn't experience problem with hot shower (it was really hot!) and there were sufficient blankets to keep us warm at night. A small electric heater and hot water bottle is also provided. Decent breakfast (eggs and toast, milk & coffee). Amenities are basic but...

An amazing find! We stayed for 2 nights on Yavari and it was fantastic. The only place to stay to wake up to an unspoilt view of Lake Titicaca!! The cabins are small but sufficient. We loved reading about the history of the boat and hearing more from the staff. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfast...

My aunt and I were travelling through Peru together and when we found out that we could stay aboard a ship in Puno we were hooked! Out experience aboard the Yavari was wonderful; Giselle and the crew went out of their way to make us comfortable. We were going to stay three nights on-board, but there was a massive thunderstorm...

We arrived earlier than expected and were made so feel so welcome that we just spent the afternoon lazing around and reading on deck! The wobbly board walk from the shore made for great hilarity. The ship is so interesting and you are free to wander and explore all the areas and artefacts at leisure. The berths are small but very...

I enjoyed my first night's stay on this historic vessel. The staff provide a personal tour of the ship with complete information about its purpose and creation, it is indeed a miracle. Of course it's a ship and more than 100 years only so you can expect very cramped quarters. On the other hand the staff was very nice and...
