Julio César made of our stay an experience hard to forget. We were there for three nights and since then we long to go back every single day. If this wasn't enough, Julio César is a talented photographer!

We decided to visit Titicaca Lodge Peru after seeing a FB post where the owners described the horrible toll the 2020 pandemic left on their business and their way of living. It was something we always wanted to experience, staying at the floating islands, as we had visited Puno a few times before but never actually stayed over at the lodges. The experience was completely mind-blowing. Mr. Julio and his wife made our stay so comfortable and friendly, it felt like we were part of their family. Everything was done thinking about the safety of the travelers. The food was AMAZING. We stayed over for 2 nights, looking into getting away from the chaotic city of Lima, and it was so awesome, although the altitude was a bit much, we had an awesome time! Will for sure come back for longer next time!

Armando, Julio, mamma Lucia and the rest of the family are the most extraordinary people on Earth. Titicaca lodge is not just a hotel, you really do feel like part of the family. Everybody tries so hard to make you feel like home. Armando and Julio work most of the time - they come to turn the heating on and off for you in the evening before you go to bed and early in to morning so when you wake up it is nice and warm. They bring fresh bread from town which means they have to be up very early. Mamma Lucia welcomes you with her heart full of love. Whilst most of the other Uros islands are very touristic, Titicaca Lodge is a home ! It is a bit further away from all the other islands so that you can admire the beautiful nature around - and not to mention the most beautiful sunsets you will have ever seen. We stayed 3 nights with the family and certainly left a piece of heart on their little island !

The family running the lodge are the ultimate hosts, always ready to cater to your needs in order to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. They are proud of their heritage and traditions and love to share them through organized tours on the lake. Particularly, Julio is a wonderful guide. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Your are guaranteed a wonderful time when staying at the lodge.

I spent two nights in this unique and fantastic place. I won’t recommend only doing one night as otherwise, with any day tours or so, you won’t be able to enjoy this fantastic place. It’s located on an Uro floating island a bit further in the lake than the others which makes it even more calm and unique. On your outdoor terraces, you can enjoy the pure silence. The two brothers Jhulio and Antonio are so wonderful hosts, so friendly and always in a good mood. What they created out here is so fantastic. The food is great, and you can also purchase beer/wine if you like. The brothers will take care of every pickup/transport/tour organization you can think of and they will also show you around their island on a self-made reed boat (incredible). At night, it becomes very cold on lake Titicaca, the bungalows are heated with gas heaters from 5am until 9pm. You will have fantastic warm pillows/blankets and before you sleep, they will put hot water bottles under your blankets. It all feels like in a completely different world. You even have WiFi here. For me, this was one of the most unique experiences here in Peru and I would love to come back one day.
