We stayed there during Carnaval so didn't spend much time in the hostel but had a pleasant stay regardless. There is an outdoor bar and lounge area, the staff is fun and friendly, and the vibe very chill. Rooms are nice, beds comfortable. Breakfast is included and ok.

We are travelling around South America as a late twenties/early thirties couple and we stayed in Kerana Hostel in a private room for three nights. We really can't talk about Kerana hostel highly enough. The staff were so friendly and helpful throughout our stay - particularly the manager Javier - and all went way beyond the usual assistance you get... More

Paraguay is not a country a lot of travelers visit, but if you go and you go to Encarnacion! You should stay at Kerana Hostel! The staff is really friendly and can help you learn Spanish. In the weekends the bar is open and you can get pizza!! We only had the idea that the bathroom wasn't cleaned every day.... More

Good location close to the bus station and the beach and a few blocks from the main square. Not much indoor common space, but nice patios and a clean kitchen. Pleasant staff. Good wifi. Breakfast is basic.

Javier and team were spectacular at giving us all sorts of ideas of what to do in the area, information, and help finding and booking a place to stay after we left them. The hostel is super clean and new and modern, almost more of a hotel in the private en suite room than a hostel. Great breakfast included and... More

I am a backpacker, 37yrs old, 45+ countries visited, travelling with partner. We stayed 5 nights in the 6 and 5 beds dorm. The hostel has main building with the reception and private rooms and the dormitories building just opposite. ROOM: The room was spacious, clean, lockers inside, towels provided (and changed every 2 days), wifi in the room quite... More

This was a great place to stay! The main reason was the staff (Javier) who was incredibly helpful and friendly. He gave us tips/suggestions on what routes/transport to take on our ongoing journey. And they turned out to affect our travels in a huge positive way! We had to book somewhere in Asuncion very last minute and he was very... More

If I had to rate this hostel just on service then I would have given this 5 stars because the staff were so friendly, helpful and did everything they could to make my stay as pleasant as possible. Unfortunately though, because of they double booked us, we couldn't get the private room we reserved and they had to find alternative... More

Very good hostel... clean and spacious. We stayed in a double room... great air conditioning and comfortable bed. Location is excellent... super close to the bus station, beach and restaurants. Breakfast was pretty good for south America and the kitchen was exceptional... brand new I'm guessing and plenty of kitchen equipment and fridge space too. My only complaint was the... More
