Madang Resort has the perfect scenery of the main restaurant and the pool! just awesome! very attractive and spacious grounds and spectacular views from the ocean front rooms. I enjoyed my week long stay with my kids, nephews and nieces who made our team of 10 x PADI Scuba Diving students. We had beautiful moments and happy instructor at MTS! The team had thoroughly enjoyed the diving lessons and are looking forward to the next certification level. Our family of 8 had a wonderful stay at Madang Resort in January. The location is just gorgeous. We stayed in one of the waterfront bungalows, and from our verandah we saw all kinds of sea creatures... Blue starfish, clown fish, angel fish, squid and crabs. The saltwater pool was a highlight for all of us! The only thing that would have improved our stay was a bit of attention to small details. There were no pool towels available, instead we were to use the room towels. Swimming twice a day, this was quite an inconvenience. Our room was not supplied with coffee in the room, due to coffee being "out." However, since the restaurant had coffee available, it seems that this could have been solved somehow. We've heard that due to low business during Covid, many staff members were let go, and I'm sure that was a lot of the issue. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, kind, and accommodating, and we look forward to staying again in the future.…

Madang Resort has the most amazing scenery of the main restaurant and the pool! just breathtaking. I enjoyed my 3-day stay, however, I believe the staff there need a tremendous amount of training in hospitality and addressing urgent requests by guests. A friend of mine had reported to the front desk that water was not working in her room and was told to wait for a whole day before being attended to at 8:30 pm. She had used a small container to shower in the morning and evening. Also on arrival, I notice the front desk had half-eaten lunch by staff lying in front of the reception in full view of all guests trying to check-in /out. the basic twin share rooms need a total renovation as there are cockroaches, bed bugs, stains on the bedsheet and towels too! the shower curtains are not washed, the refrigerator is seriously smelly and the tv doesn't work.…

Thank you for your review, it is most appreciated and all the matters you referred to are being attended to.however I would like to make a few observations; The water problem was not cause by the hotel, the town water system has been going through major outages, caused by poor power supply from the treatment plant, it has affected the entire in town and the Provincial Hospital is only operating for emergency cases as a result of no water. We do have back water supply and normally this is more than adequate to meet the demand, in this case, the prolonger outage of water resulted in our emergency water system not coping. We have check all beds in this wing and could not trace any bed bugs, we suspect there may have been black ants. We constantly spray rooms for insects which are quite common in the tropics. As a result of your review, all rooms in this wing have been closed nd will remain closed until I am satisfied any defect is rectified. In regard to those problems we cannot control, we hope and pray that the Authoriies concerned can improve. Again thank you for your review, we hope you return in the future Sir Peter Barter

We had a fun and relaxing stay at the Madang Resort! There is a lot to do, from snorkeling to kayaking to trips to town. We also enjoyed the pool and lagoon area. We were mainly a group of high school seniors, so while activity was valued, so was the restaurant! The menus were varied and did was delicious.

We spent an hour here whilst waiting for a trip. The hotel made us most welcome whilst we waited for our transport which had been arranged by a local tour operator. The grounds are lovely, beautiful plants and birds to see. Some of our group had drinks and used the hotel's internet. It's an oasis of calm away from the hectic and busy town of Madang.
