Secluded island with 10 huts and a lodge/eating area. Go for one of the over water huts, less mosquitos, soothing waves and hammocks over the water. Entire staff was fantastic, food was good (you better like fish). If you are able, bring your own bottle of bourbon, vodka ect. A visit to the Kuna Community was facinating. The hike to...

This resort is a short boat ride from the airport. There are about ten cabins. They are thatched roof, with wood floors, and bamboo walls. We had an "oceanfront" and our front door was about 10 feet from the water. Wonderful to fall asleep at night listening to the gentle waves. The food was great, and there was plenty of...

Stayed here for two nights in March. The island is really small with only a few lodges, lending itself to very secluded and intimate setting. Perfect for a couples getaway. The excursions were nice, and getting to swim and snorkel on the other tiny islands nearby was also bliss, apart from plastic scattered everywhere. I guess modern living is taking...

Thank you for your comments! We are glad you enjoyed your stay, and we are sorry to hear you had problems sleeping. We would like to make a point of the bedbugs. Sometimes, we leave the sheets on the sun when we apply a special treatment for whitening which needs full sun. But after this treatment they are washed again...

I visited Yandup Island Lodge for a week in March 2017 in a party of 6: four sisters aged 69-81, and 2 brothers in law. We just loved it and took home fond memories of the kindness and attentiveness of the Guna staff. Tomas and others took us safely to far flung Islands for snorkeling or swimming plus beach combing...

My boyfriend and I stayed for two nights at Yandup Island Lodge in March 2017, and we would love to return for a longer visit. The island is the perfect setting to disconnect, rest, recover, enjoy the beautiful Caribbean hues and breezes, swim, and discover new flora and fauna. The staff was very welcoming and engaging, and the food was...

We were greeted at the airport by Thomas. We spoke clearly and we weren't on his list for staying but looked at voucher and said everything would be fine. We traveled by boat past the Kuna Community and were asked to go to restaurant area for breakfast. Met by more wonderful staff. We were then helped to our cabin. It...

This resort is located on a remote private island in the Kuna Yala region of Panama. To get there, you need to fly into Playon Chico airport on a small plane, where you are greeted by one of the Yandup Island Lodge guides, who will then take you by boat to the island. You have a choice of a large...

My stay at Yundap Island lodge was absolutely amazing! The experience was everything that I imagined. All of the staff is very friendly, accommodating, and are great teachers. Majority of the staff speak the Kuna language, Spanish, and some speak English. The cabin that I stayed in was on the shore, facing the sea. It had a regular size and...

A lovely tranquil island lodge. 10 individual circular beach houses. Very rustic. No AC, mini-bar, TV etc. Fabulous local seafood in a communal dining room. Day trips to go snorkelling on nearby islands or trips into the mangrove swamp. A really must do visit to the local Kuna village with local guides who are really knowledgeable about the Kuna history...
