I'm glad I went but the cons outweigh the pros. Stayed two nights - flew over on an 8 seater plane. Met by the owner and given a cabin. Only two of us there. The food was OK - lobster one night which was fantastic but the rest of the meals were only OK .I admit they don't have a...

We stayed 2 nights at this lodge. We flew in to Achutupu on a tiny plane (I think a 15 seater) - that in itself was quite the neat experience :) We were greeted by someone from the lodge and taken over to the tiny island by boat, where we were met by the owner - very nice fellow. Our...

We did want to experience the native culture of the area however we were not told that we would be stranded on an island for two days. Our hosts were extremely cordial and the food was above average however the Huts, well Gilligan had it much better. No electricity during the day. There were two small solar battery powered night...

We moved to Dolphin Lodge from another resort which was lovely but a bit more expensive. We were out of season so the owner opened up the whole resort for us! We had the place to ourselves. The food was brilliant, even better than the first place we stayed at. I am vegetarian and they catered well for me. During...

I did pick up the best hotel in san blas but I would now consider visiting the archipielago with a sailing boat: san blas are gorgeous but accomodation and activities in this hotel are not great. I have heard some good feedbacks about a san blas sailing company booking yacht charter: I would recomand such trip though I didn't take...

This lodge experience is amazing, with many chances to learn about the local Kuna Indians and to enjoy this beautiful area of the world! The workers really take care of you, offering delicious food and lots of it, tours to beaches, rivers and a Kuna village, as well as providing time to relax on your back porch in a hammock...

If you're expecting the Ritz, you shouldn't go to these islands. That's not what they're about. But they are paradise, and the folks at Dolphin Lodge are warm-hearted, eager to please, and provide a lovely experience in a very rustic environment. We found the food better than in Panama City, and more than plentiful (except for breakfast, which was still...

This hotel is one in its kind. Given the circumstances in San Blas this hotel is just great. Everybody was very nice (true Kuna hospitality). It is back to basic and nature. Thank you Eric and Vanessa for a wonderful time. If you travel to the San Blas I would certainly book this hotel, it is very quiet and you...

Dolphin Lodge has a lovely view and a pretty location HOWEVER, there is no hot water for showers, no air conditioning, mosquitos attack even with netting; though their pr says it is all inclusive they charge you for every beverage. They ran out of food-even bread but did not make up for it so if you like eating the same...
