When we were there the island was very quiet. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the amazing scenery. It is very basic and the food is OK, but that's all part of the experience! I wouldn't recommend it for families or couples, but for solo travelers it is a nice choice when visiting San Blas.

I made a big mistake when I bought the package deal at some expensive hotel in Casco Viejo. I paid 300 USD cash, when I should have paid half of it, at least! Just because I was travelling alone, Mr Franklin (Kuna elder) didn't allow me to leave the island unless I would find a group to go along. The...

We stayed on Franklin`s Island for three nights. When we arrived we had perfect sunny weather, it felt like arriving in paradise. The bungalows are basic, but very cute. Beds old but I slept really good, as you can hear the ocean. The island is small and all covered in white sand and plamtrees. The water is amazingly beautiful clear....

Love the small beach at Franklin's; white sand blue waters. You are staying on the island with the indigenous. The hut is basic with very used mattress. Please note that there is no flush in the toilet. You have to bring a pail of water to the toilet and rush your doings.... It not a five star resort for sure,...

This island was beautiful and relaxing especially if you know what to expect when you get there. The huts have a bed and most open to the water. The toilets don't have seats and you must flush them by pouring a bucket of water into them. We opted out of showering as they had cool water and looked unpleasant. The...

It is a tiny island but completely built up with (very basic) cabanas. There is absolutely no space for relaxing. There is a sandbank which is the only place where you can go into water but there is no shade. We were so disappointed that we left next day.

We stayed on three different Islands during our trip so I am able to do a direct comparison. Franklin island was pretty and small, it only takes 2 minutes to walk around the island. Accomodation: I found the bamboo huts to be of the same basic quality on every island. They are very basic and people walking past can see...

We booked a trip to San Blas with LAM tours, which was very disappointing. We had to look for a boat ourselves to bring us to Franklins as our boat had left already. Once we got there (Franklin site), we were told to share a room with 2 girls. As a couple who had made reservations weeks in advance, we...

We arrived without reservation and initially were told that there is no room for us. But this was not true as we discovered after walking passed the beach to the place where they handle accommodations. The rates are average compared to another San Blas Island that we came from. On the plus side there was snacks and sodas to buy...

Me and my friend just staye on this island in San Blas as a cheaper alternative to doing the more expensive yacht tours. This island is split into two hostels... Cabanas Franklin and Senidup. We stayed at cabanas franklin but wished we had of stayed at Senidup. The accommodation seemed very comparable on both sides (simple cabanas) and the island...
