Staying at the Coco Blanco Island was one of our greatest experiences. Of course if you're looking for a luxury resort San Blas is not your place, but Coco Blanco is by far the best option in the Kuna Yala area. The owners are educated people, very kind and gentle and you can get an interesting Kuna culture talk with...

To live among kuna people in a paradise island is a once in a lifetime opportunity! Enjoy white sand beaches, see beautiful rays snorkling and feel the caribbean breeze! Despite all the beautys, you will find modest accommodations (which is part of the experience), tipical food prepared by Ligia, the Kuna owner of the island (Rice with coconut, patacon -...

This was my second trip to San Blas. My first trip, to Kuanidup, was certainly memorable but I came away wanting accomodations that where just a bit less rustic. Researching online, Coco Blanco seemed to be that and to a certain extent, it was. Private bathrooms with flush toilets - they do have them. "Private" is meant in that no...

Coco Blanco is a wonderful island, in paradise, but ridiculously crowded in high season. I was hoping for a relaxing and quiet stay, on an almost-deserted island... I was so disapointed when I realized there was 45 people seeking for the same thing on this tiny island (it took me 4 minutes to make a "around-the-island" movie). The sheets were...

San Blas is certainly one of the most beautiful places all over Panamá and you should go see it. We went on a one-day-tour and discovered that we paid as much as the people that were going to sleep there for one night (but this was caused by the agency Panama Unlimited, that I really do not recommend). Well, they...

Great sea, great location, a real paradise. Be aware that the was no running water. You need to know if your cabin has a private bathroom. The food is mediocre unless you buy lobsters at sea for $5 per Lb and have them serve you one every meal. I also noticed that my agency overcharged me for the same cabin,...

The San Blas islands are beautiful and in order to enjoy your experience, you mostly have to be aware of the kind of services and accommodation you will be having. Firstly, the pick-up from the hotel with the 4WD (3 h ride) worked well and so did the pick up by the boat (although we had to wait for an...

The time in Coco Blanco was superb. While basic accommodations, the place is paradise to rest and enjoy the Caribbean. The food was good and the day trips very interesting. The transport logistics of leaving the island and getting to my flight were less than optimal, despite assurances made.

We spent 3 days in San Blas a few weeks ago. It is paradise. An amazing experience. The family who runs Coco Blanco was extremely hospitable and made sure we were well taken care of. From a clean hut to sleep in, water to shower with, delicious and generous meals, amazing tropical juices and taking us around on tours. They...

My boyfriend and I spent 3 nights at Coco Blanco end of september 2012.We were very impress with what is done with so little. Of course if you are looking for a 5 stars all inclusive resort experience, then the San Blas is probably not the destination for you because even on the most expensive islands like Coco Blanco everything...
