Although Wi-Fi was advertised, we had lots of problems getting connected. Dropped signal frequently. Very frustrating. Room was clean but very old and musty. Lots of noise from water pipes. Staff was polite and friendly and some spoke English. Moved to Hotel Ciudad de David. Much much better.

We stayed one night because it was close to the bus station and we were leaving in the morning. The rooms were clean, kids enjoyed the pool. We didn't eat in the restaurant because we prefer local food - we did enjoy the breakfast buffet which was included and was very good!

After having stayed at a hostel for part of my trip and hotels for the remainder, I wished I chose a different hotel. While the staff is nice and friendly, the rooms are dingy and feel dirty. The pool isn't chlorinated and the outdoor restaurant was so bad that I had to send back my fish. Good for one night... More

We stayed in a suite on the third floor. It had two king beds, two hvac units, two bath rooms, etc. This place probably would not suit you if you are looking for a resort atmosphere, however, if you are in David it is a safe bet that you know it isn't Cancun. This place is a hoot. From the... More

On a recent ovenight in the Gran Hotel Nacional, we were given a gloomy ground-floor bedroom which smelled strongly of damp and looked out at a wall topped with barbed wire. There were mosquitoes in the room - when we asked if they could spray the room while we had dinner, we were informed they did not have a spray.... More

Nice hotel in a classical style. The room was large and comfortable. Wi-fi did not work in the room so I and to go outside or into the lobby. I can't say enough about the lobby/reception staff. They all were awful and not the least bit concerned about the customer. I had an issue with the TV in my room... More

We actually quite liked this hotel but I have to give them a bad review because we were charged twice for a one-night stay. We didn't realize it until we got home and when I tried to contact the hotel we could not get anyone to even return an email. Luckily we booked through booking.com so they were able to... More

I called to book a room for 4 so the receptionist promised a suite for $110 per night. When we arrived we were given a small room with 2 beds. Not only this, but the greatest mistake was the price given , after been told the room was $110 they charged $175 at checkout. After complaining to the receptionist, he... More

Very nice hotel in central David. Has restaurants, pool, casino and on site parking. Friendly staff and nice room with TV, safe, fridge etc. Excellent buffet breakfast included. Price is quite reasonable too. No complaints here.

Nice old hotel. Centrally located. Close to a casino and LOTS of restaurants. Great place to go and see the city. The pool is very nice and staff is friendly. The price has gone up a bit recently but you get a nice hotel. The food is excellent.
