Nice hotel, would stay again! Close to Panama Canal Visitor center! The Panama Canal was the highlight of our stay. Got to see a neo-panama ship enter and exit the locks. Much better than the mira flores lock experience. The only thing I did not like about the hotel was the lobby bar as it was limited to only a...

We stayed here as part of a group tour for two nights. This is a rehabbed old US military building (we heard it was a hospital) and has some really beautiful touches - nice tiles, expansive halls, nice large comfortable room. The buffets were very good - beautiful and tasty foods. It looked like they were feeding hundreds but not...

Stayed as part of a tour. Service was grand. Both dinner and breakfast was excellent and service was exemplary. Place was sparkling clean. People were helpful. Pool was tremendous. Wish that we could have stayed longer.

I was only one night there and overall the place looks good in terms of room quality and infrastructure including the pool area. For improvement I would say better night activities for guests and specially in the bar area. It can be very boaring. Room is big and comfortable, the same as the bathroom. The receptionist are great and provide...

I have to recognize, that the hotel, made efforts to improve the quality of the entire hotel.. Check in, fast and without queues Rooms with air conditioning, in good condition and tubs. Activities for children all day * clowns, pintacaritas, paints, dance shows, DJ music. Delicious food, best of all all inclusive in Panama. They improved in the attention. Area...

The hotel is in one of the suburbs of Colon, which is a good thing. Downtown Colon is the pits, though they are making an effort to clean it up. The hotel has a great swimming pool and sits on a peninsula. Not really much to do at the hotel other than to swim. The breakfast was included in the...

We enjoyed the good food and drinks in the "all inclusive" package. The only one working hard (and with a big smile) in the restaurant was little Ana, and the hotel needs more employees like her. The hotel management also has to invest on improving the instalations and bring them up to the "Melia" standards.

The hotel is a nice old brick and mortar building. However, there is a very loud disco on the bottom floor that plays way too loud on the weekend. My father's room was directly above it and he couldn't sleep until they stopped playing around 2400. Besides that, the facilities are a little dated and the hotel service (minus the...

Old School of the Americas building constructed c. 1963. It needs several upgrades today, but is well located and secure and safe place in an area in some distress. No coffee maker in room: no ice bucket, no safe in room 1111, but one in 1121. TV & frig, OK. 1111 is room over the lounge or bar or some...

After driving thru downtown Colon (by error) we finally reversed direction and followed the signs. This is a converted school/HQ/and hospital building which was the HQ of the US Army Southern Command from 1914 thru 1999 when the US turned over the Canal Zone to the Panama people. Its on a section of Lake Gatun in a beautiful area. Nice...
