The owner Pancho will appear very friendly and helpful at the beginning of your stay. However his personality can change in a split second. When he found out I was leaving (i only ever told him I would stay one night) he became very agitated and wanted to me out of the hostel as soon as possible the next morning....

We stayed there for 2 nights and had to pay when we arrived for both nights, what I totally regretted the next morning. We had kind of a misunderstanding about the washing machine next to the kitchen, because the receptionist told us that we could use it. We put some clothes in there in the early morning and when the...

It's hard to beat the location of this place - smack on the central square. Prices for rooms are good - way cheaper than in the hostels in town, considering you will get a private bathroom. You can bargain at least $5 off the asking price, by the way. However, I do agree with other reviewers that the place needs...

i really had a pleasasnt experience. Slept well and met some interesting folks. The owners are friendly enough and helpful. THere seems to be a kitchen apartheid, however i´m not much on cooking anyhow. The place was clean, quiet and worth the price! All I am saying is, Give The Palacios A Chance......

Location was great being right on the square but it ends there. Had a private room that wasn't clean. I am NOT a clean freak but this place was sub par. The prices were too high for what you get here which isn't much! The rooms were small and dark.

We stayed in one of the private rooms for a few days. Our room was in serious need of a renovation and to be cleaned better (they must have made and emergency cleaning of our room when we arrived, because a wet cleaning cloth was lying on our bed). The kitchen lacks cuttlery and other necessities. It is also dirty,...

We have had a lovely stay for 3 nights in this family runned hostel. The family is very hospitable and knows exactly what to do where without paying a lot of operators, if you can easily do it cheaper in a different and even nicer way. The rooms were basic but a lovely warm shower! Wifi was good and the...

We stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. It´s definitely not the fanciest or cleanest hostel I´ve ever stayed in, but you will not beat the friendly service anywhere. The owner, Francisco, will give you the greatest introduction to Boquete you could hope for. He makes you feel more like a house guest than a customer, which is...

One of the worst accommodation in my life. The first three nights were O.K., quite noise, dirty, but so, so. The real horror night started on Saturday, when they brought some friends to the Hostel. The owners started smoking marijuana and drinking around 1 am. They started singing and shouting. Some of them started to complain about us that we are...

Three of us friends stayed here for two nights in a triple room, and while not the most modern looking place, it certainly has character. I would defo recommend staying here as it felt very safe. You will be welcomed in by pancho and his family so you will be a name not just a number. The very excitable Pancho...
