The location is just great. The hotel is just behind the Grand Hyatt, just 50 meters or so from the beach (Shatti Al Qurum Beach) where you can sunbathe, swim, or take walks in the afternoon or evening time. Apart from this, I found the room clean, the bed comfortable and the staff quite helpful. My only remark is regarding... More

After travelling thru Oman this was our last stop before departing. The staff were nice and we enjoyed the restaurant/bar downstairs. The rooms are a bit outdated but what more do you need then a bed.

I booked a twin smoking room at this hotel, however when we arrived we were told that there were no longer any smoking rooms available as the hotel was full. When we went to our room, we discovered it had a double bed rather than two singles. We informed the reception staff who immediately got somebody to come and split... More

Lovely cosy hotel a stone's throw from the beach in central Muscat. Lively irish pub with live music for the evening entertainment. Efficient management running a tight ship. Rates are very competetive and all in all make it an enjoyable stay!

Near Quram beach but lacks quality. Rooms are small with small wash rooms. Lobby has some foul smell all the time. Hotel name is unheard by taxi drivers which makes it difficult to locate. Breakfast is terrible, better eat outside. Medium priced so okay.

You shouldn't expect something excellent, this is an old hotel, but staff is very nice, always smiling and helpful, so it makes up for some little inconveniences. The hotel is far from the "city centre" (like ports or souq), but one minute walk will take you to beautiful beach. There are some cafes and restaurants around.

This is within walking distance of the beach (and the Grand Hyatt) in the Embassy area of Muscat, although we never saw many people on the beach. The only disadvantage is that they always had to call for a cab, which meant you had little negotiating power over what your ride would cost. Aside from the Hyatt (where prices were... More

We stayed here for the first 3 nights after arriving in Muscat, the hotel is in the diplomatic district and about 30 minutes away from the airport. Location is great just about on the beach and next door to the Grand Hyatt. We had no issues with the room and staff were friendly. Breakfast was ok but nothing to write... More

Beach Bay Hotel is an ok hotel, nothing special but there are some issues. Cleanliness is deceiving, while the rooms appear neat and clean, turn the lights on at night and watch the cockroaches scatter. The location may seem fine but if you are unfortunate to be on the side closest to the neighbouring Grand Hyatt hotel, be prepared to... More

If you don’t want to spend a fortune on the super-luxury hotels in Muscat, Beach Bay offers a reasonable alternative. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The hotel is well-situation just across the street from the Grand Hyatt and about two blocks from a very nice stretch of beach. Nothing about the hotel is stunning, but ‘most everything is just...
