The location is definitely superb. You are right on the very best beach. We stayed one night (2 adjoining rooms for kids and us). It was almost $500 NZ for this night and Hotel was definitely about 2 star. BUT you really can't beat the location. The beach is the whitest sand and the water transparently clear and you swim...

Hotel Kou-Bugny has an amazing location right on the beach front (restaurant). Unfortunately the main road cuts through between accommodation and the restaurant. It would be amazing for them to be connected on the beach front. Place was expensive but nice. There was mould in the shower and the a step around the bed that gouged my leg several times....

Spent three days on the Island and stayed at Kou Bugney. Was not impressed with the room at all. There was a wooden edging all the way along the bed which was a nice design, but the rooms are so tiny there is no room to move around the bed without smashing your shins on the wood constantly. The bathroom...

The rooms are a bit small, but clean. The restaurant across the road served the best breakfast we had on the island, was far superior to the breakfast at Le Meridien. And the beach is wonderful for a stroll and a swim. We didn't see those terrible pedal boat things that they have as the hotel main photo. The restaurant...

The hotel is situated in opposite one of the best bays of the island. The accommodation is basic but comfortable and the reception staff are very friendly. The food was average and there was no pool. The location makes up for a lot.

The hotel is located in one of the most beautiful bay of the island. The room was clean and tidy but the bathroom needed an extra cleaning. The staff is very polite and kind but you'd better know your way around because it's hard to get advices. Breaki was fine for an hotel "lost" in the middle of an island....

What a beautiful location! Shame about everything else! Yes we understand this is a 3* hotel and we were not expecting 5* hotel however this place has the service of a 1* hotel. We have traveled the world many times and stayed in many different level of hotels and resorts and the service here is one of the worst ever...

We had a very pleasant one night stay at the hotel. The hotel is in a magical location on Kuto Bay and just a short stroll to equally stunning Kanumera Bay. The hotel has all that you need and a restaurant right on the beach. The staff were very helpful despite limited English speaking and made us feel very welcome.

There's no entry for this Kou-Bugny hotel restaurant for some reason (some reviewers seem to have mixed this one up with the Kou-gny restaurant which is located near Le Meridien at NE part of the island) so I'll just review it under the hotel listing (haven't seen the hotel rooms so can't comment on that). It was essential to book...

We booked a 'tropical garden' room, which is a good sized room on the ground floor of the two level hotel accommodation complex. We enjoyed the small outdoor seating area at the front in the evenings. The hotel also has a beachfront bar which was nice. The location is good, and you can book a pick up from the airport...
