The room is in need of a renovation as the old carpets, old bedding and couch that has broken springs so that you "sink in" at a 45 degree angle can be sorted out. It is right in the middle of the town with a view of the shops, a main road and not much else. You can see the...

This was my first visit to Walvis Bay, therefore I have no comparison with other local accommodation. I had a one bedroom suite for 8 nights which was comfortable enough. The lighting in the living room was very harsh. a table or standard lamp would have made the space more comfortable. This is especially so as the hotel bar /...

Quiet, clean and suite had ample space. Breakfast was always crowded and haphazard (festive period). Shops and restaurants were within short walk. Reception took time to notify us of fees and imminent change at top of year, which I quite appreciated.

Extremely nice place to stay in the very beautiful city Walvis bay. The rooms are very comfortable with nice views from the window. Nice weather in Walvis Bay, though a bit cold sometimes. The people in the town are also nice people. Big desert dunes for recreation and sight seeing.

Spent a few nights at Protea Hotel...warm and cosy rooms with nicely manicured gardens. Good location and wonderful breakfast....went for a boat cruise and went up the sand dunes at nearby Swakopmund. The service was good...friendly staff

The hotel's location is good, overall appearance looks good but not all that good. The staff really tried to make my stay pleasant but the restaurant staff is lazy and do not care. My dinner the first night was not what I asked for, decided to eat at the many outside restaurants for the rest of the time. Breakfast is okay...

I booked this hotel through my customer, and yes… it is a decent place to stay… bearing in mind the lack of options available in Walvis Bay. There are only three hotels in Walvis Bay, and a few bread and breakfasts around… so I have to rate it within this reality. POSITIVE POINTS: Not many, unfortunately, but not having too...

Excellent service from all the staff always available. Nice bedroom although on the first floor they seem to be humid (weather?). Available in bedroom every thing to make tea and coffee. Nothing to do outside of hotel. Would recommand this hotel just to spend the night!
