We stayed here on our road to the north of Namibia. We had some difficulty to find the place but when we were there the owner welcomed us very friendly. A strong man from German origin. We were free to chose a place to camp as there were not many people ( couple of days after christmas). The place was huge...

I was in January 3 days on the campsite and I had some food in the restaurant with the general and the colonel. The two girls in the kitchen prepared an excellent fillet steak and the "Bratkartoffel" were superb. I cant remember having eaten anything better before since I am traveling in southern Africa. I am eager to come back...

My husband and myself, camped there during December 2016 for 12 days. We are pensioners and were given a campsite far from the facilities. We had a campsite right next to the main house and found it very dusty, with all the cars passing in and out. Also the children were playing outside early in the mornings next to our...

For all the other guests we want to say: " Please come and talk with us and tell us any problems, we will ALWAYS try to help!!!" Doesn´t matter is it the campsite, the food at the Restaurants or even the children from the other guest families, we want that everybody is happy and can enjoy their holidays.

Sophia Dale is a campsite +-10 minutes outside Swakopmund. The camp is run by a German couple which is also reflected by most of the guests. A bar and restaurant were available but we made use of the fireplace to cook and consumed our own drinks. The showers and toilets were ok.

We stayed in one of the cottages for 4 nights with our 3 boys, ages 12, 9 and 9. The cottage was bright, clean and large, with two bedrooms and bathrooms. We really enjoyed the little Saturday Farmer's Market and all the wonderful dogs around the property. We ate dinner one night at the restaurant. The Kingclip fillet was fantastic...

I usually stayed here when I visited the coast. They are animal friendly - which is a bonus. The place is always nice and clean and the staff very friendly. I have camped here with my tent, but occasionally also rented a room for me and my animal.

For our quick stop in Swokapmomd, SophiaDale was perfect! It's about 10 minutes outside of town, which is not a deal breaker at all. In fact, we preferred the peace and quiet. Large, well kept campsite with electricity along with immaculate ablutions and hot showers! And bonus! Wifi worked great which is a rare find. Great stay, lovely host, Sophia...

We camped here for four nights and the facilities were the best we experienced in Namibia. They included spotlessly clean ablution blocks with plenty of solar-heated hot water and large sinks, WiFi, a small beer garden and a restaurant. Each campsite was slightly different, many had shade and water and most had one or two "special touches". All sites had...

We stayed 3 nights at Sophia Dale. It is spotlessly clean and well organised. Shared ablutions. We had power at the site, which worked fine. Wifi is a pain, as you can only get it at the site office and have to sit outside in the dark. No wifi at the restaurant, which is strange. Location is great, away from...
