Flawless campsite and lodge near the Epupa falls. Lovely hosts and and amazing tour of the Himba people. A campsite in first row is better than anything else we have seen in Namibia.
When in Epupa Falls this must be the best place to stay.
Beautifully situated under the big palms and nearby the riverside of Kunene river. We didn't stay in the lodge, but in the campsite. The campsite was clean and with a big fireplace. There...More

From Omarunga lodge to Swakopmund is about 700-800 miles depending on the road you use. Remember, most of the roads are gravel which does not permit fast driving. Consider 60-70mph a maximum depending on your vehicle. Ideally make use of a 4x4 . I've driven long distance on gravel and Tarmac with a large 4x4 and it can be rather tiring as you have to watch out for animals that may dart out also bends with gravel can be dangerous. If you can, stick to the Tarmac. It's important to fill up whenever you can.
None of the lodges are cheap, so expect to pay approx $150 for a twin room.
I hope this helps. Any other info please do ask.
