Decent value in a town where it's hard to come by. Decent clean rooms, very hot showers, and friendly management. Breakfast included in the morning is good. Also a nice bar/communal area inside the main building. A short walk away from the front - maybe 20 mins. Secure parking.

Villa Wiese is a good hostel and had everything we needed. The room was clean and included a good breakfast. Not far from the seafront and most of the action in Swakop. Wifi was a little bit poor in the rooms but worked well in the reception and the bar area.

nice hostel in Swakopmund! Dorms were clean and staff were all nice and friendly. The free wireless internet in the lobby is also useful to organise your trip. It's a shame, though, that this hostel doesn't have a garden to hang out in. Unfortunately we arrived on the same day than a huge crowd of overland-truck tourists, who were very...

We stayed here in September 2011 but to provide additional info we still publish the review now. Villa Wiese is a good guesthouse to stay in Swakopmund...nothing more, nothing less. The places is a 5-10 minute walk from the seafront and city center. The room was clean but also a bit worn at the time. Let's say that the photos...

Nice hostel within walking distance of the beach and town centre. The rooms were basic but clean and there was a locker for your valuables. The guys at reception are really helpful and will book everything from tours to the bus for you. WIFI here is free and pretty good. The breakfast was a good start to the day!

Small hostel around a 10 minute walk from the centre of Swakopmund. Very popular with the overland crowd. Rooms are compact, but comfortable, with a small security locker for small bags, wallets, passports etc. Most dorms sleep four people. Unfortunately, the rooms do not have charging points, which can be an issue if you carry a lot of gadgets! Bathrooms...

I stayed at Villa Wiese in a dorm room on and off for 5 weeks as I travelled around Namibia, but I always came back. I can't fault them for value for money. Noise from the local club Paradise can be annoying sometimes on loud nights though. But for your money you get free WiFi and breakfast included, the rooms...

I stayed here for a bit and was very happy with it. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the location is not too far from the centre of Swakop. There is at times some noise coming from the local nightclub nearby but not really a problem. The staff are fine, and the breakfast provided is enough to get the...

This fantastic character building could potentially be an excellent hostel, but I found Villa Wiese's major drawback was that it is boring. The building itself is awesome — giant wooden beams and columns, funky furniture, lush courtyard, and cool boardwalks from the bar to the rooms. Maybe I just visited at the wrong time, but for me it wasn't a...

Villa Wiese has a very distinct look and feel when entering this skihut minded place. I felt comfortable from the first moment on. Good dorms and all the required facilities including FREE wireless internet. And what about the FREE breakfast which is not just dry bread but you even have a choice between eggs, cereal or fruit! If you need...

“It's best to call and ask and describe how big your party is or what kind of a room you'd like. They have a lot of different rooms on two floors, so calling to talk can help them select the best room to meet your needs and budget.”

“Dorm rooms were very good value, however friends who were in single rooms said they didn't regret paying the extra.”
