Great place to stay, very relaxing with a lot of green spaces, and different sets where you can have your meals or a drink (indoor, outdoor, pool, garden, patio, rooftop etc etc), the staff is so friendly and professional, the rooms are great, as well as the food I recommend without any hesitation

We just returned home from a 5 day stay at Riad Baoussala, and it was beyond perfect. We traveled as a group of three families, kids ranging in ages from 16 to 5 and there was something for everyone. Dominique has created something very special here and we all felt so fortunate to experience her amazing home. The rooms were beautifully decorated with every detail thought of, and offered a great deal of privacy, each one tucked away into the lush grounds with traditional and organic design. The grounds are quite large and offer the opportunity to explore and stumble upon numerous special spots and alcoves. We all felt very safe and secure to let the kids have the run of the place and play within the walls of the resort. The rooftop was the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning, and then a glass of wine in the evening before dinner. We all ate lunch there each day around the pool and the hamburgers are not to be missed! Dinner was exceptional each night and they were happy to accommodate the younger children as well as those who are vegetarian. We found the wine and cocktails to be great and very reasonably priced. Leah coordinated some activities for our group on request (Quad Biking on the nearby beach) and they even arranged an outdoor movie night for the kids under the stars. The entire staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and every request was greeted with a smile. The location is perfect for those seeking a peaceful retreat that is only 15 minutes from Essaouira. Day trips into the beaches and medina were quick and easy, and returning to Baoussala was always relaxing and offered total tranquility. Run don't walk to experience this place. It's magical and we can't wait to go back. Thank you to Dominique, Leah and the entire staff ❤️

With every holiday, there's the odd snag.....the cab at the airport had been hijacked by some Spaniards and waiting for an hour was a pain, but not the fault of Baoussala who sorted things out very well remotely! Being two elderly folk, small children can be an unwelcome distraction, but by night 2 Raschid had worked out how to manage our discomfort so well-the man is a genius. Having led with minor issues, our view in general was that we'd found the place we'd been searching for for many years and on this particular occasion exactly right for the relaxation from a stressed time back home. The location is great, distant enough from Essaouira for peace and relative quiet, yet near enough if you want the hustle and bustle. The rooms and suites are delightful, comfortable and a fire in the evening completes the pleasure. We were prepared to search out dinner spots, but each night the dinner was so wonderful, what was the point of risking disappointment and a journey further afield? And the local wine was delicious. Breakfast, served wherever you want-there 's a bit of competition for the sunnier spots-are deliciously simple. The atmosphere is genuinely relaxed and accommodating-a real achievement in any hotel. Nothing is too much trouble and every request met with a smile. Hopefully Ryanair fights from the UK will start to Mogador Airport at the end of this year-virus willing-which will make the transfer time easier (30 minutes v 2 1/2 hours)-Marrakesh is a bit of a slog. All in all about as near perfect as we've found in 50 adult years. And I have to mention Emma Morin who helped us to enjoy a wonderful time with her wit and sense of humour not to mention fetching quite a few Gin and Tonics as well as multiple bottles of wine

We travelled with a bunch of 7 (4 adults and 3 small kids) and fell in love with Riad Baoussala - this is REALLY a HOME away from Home. Beautiful and cosy, warm and attentive, clean and yummy. We spent here 12 days and ate most of the days in house as Fati and the crew cooked various authentic and tasty dishes even taking into consideration our specific vegan/ vegetarian/ Kids needs. Thank you so much for this relaxed and perfect holidays! Thanks to Leah and Dominique who answered tons of questions before the booking and organized very nice and super punctual pick up from Marrakech. Very Special thanks to Rachid who is the most caring and dedicated host we ever met! We will definitely come back and send many friends to your beautiful and homely guest house.

We stayed at Dar Celeste; a beautiful villa not far from the Riad. It was absolutely wonderful - a place where you felt at home immediately you arrived. We were looked after perfectly, nothing was too much trouble. The Riad was 5 minutes away by car and we were made so welcome there too. It is easy to reach the coast or Essaouira by car. Driving was not a problem. I can highly recommend either staying at Dar Celeste or at the Riad itself. We look forward to returning soon.
