Bedroom: The room was a little on the small side but it was clean, bright and fresh. The bed was extremely comfortable and the light blue decor gives the room a charm. Bathroom: Perfectly clean, the water pressure a little weak but hot nonetheless. Could do with a new shower curtain. Location: The riad is far from the main square...

We spent one night with a group there. The Riad is nicely decorated and in a part of the old city where it is less noisy. Only the sea gulls in the morning during breakfast on the terasse were somehow annoying. For us just the right spot and market, restaurants and beach within walking distance even with kids.

We came to Essaouria for my daughters 21st birthday party and Frederique (the owner) allowed us to take over the whole Riad. It is just perfect, in a very good location and the staff are incredibly kind and friendly. The breakfasts were all quite delicious and plentiful and the Riad is in a great location. The rooms are very pretty...

We very much enjoyed our stay at Emeraude. We stayed at multiple Riads in Morocco, and though this hotel may or may not be considered a true Riad, we found it to be one of the best places we stayed, especially for the price.

Nice riad with friendly owners! Our room was clean but very small and the shower was a little bit uncomfortable. There is no air conditioning and the room was very wet, also the bad and the sheets. We needed to put our towels on the bed to sleep.

It's a charming place with a friendly owner and delightfully helpful staff. We loved the roof terrace where we ate good breakfasts and spent many siesta times relaxing up there. It's very well located in the medina within easy walking distance of the harbour and beach and all the medina shops and markets. Our room on the first floor was...

It's 5th time for me in Essaouira and second time in Emeraude and first time alone travelling alone. I just love it because i can stay there over 3 weeks without air condition even with the closed windows (i was there in the Ramadan period and it can be loud outside in the night because in the night time it's...

Although it's right on the edge of the medina, the Emeraude is worth the effort. The staff are friendly, the rooms are small but clean with adequate bathrooms and plenty of hot water. A good breakfast is included and is served on the terrace.
