This is well situated hotel and is ideal for families. It seems that management is not prepared to spend money to upgrade a once beautiful and gorgeous hotel and resort. The place seems to be run down and looks worse for wear.

It is simply amazing. Beautiful property at a superb location along with excellent facilities.
The staff was very customer friendly. Were surprised to get delicious authentic Indian food in such a distant place. The room was very clean and spacious.

Structure a little old style, the context is very beautiful. The hotel needs renovation. The service was great the staff always friendly and helpful, excellent also breakfast and buffet dinners.
The beach, like the hotel, would require some maintenance to make it better.More

All good, great staff, fabulous curries, needs a refurbish as it is a little outdated. Had a great time. We stayed in the Nirvana section which did not allow children and had a great infinity pool overlooking the ocean, we also had an ocean view...More
Great staff, great location, good food but limited selection for those that don’t eat meat or fried fish, hotel could be a little more ‘polished’. A special thanks to: Nitish (La Faya’s excellent restaurant manager); Avish, Antish, Karuna, Santy, Harips, Ansuya and the Pool Bar...More
We didn’t use the bar much even though we were on an all inclusive, but the pool bar which we could see from our room appeared to be open from breakfast time till late in the evening as did the main bar in reception.

The Nirvana pool is adults only, your kids won't be allowed there. I think that if you're not staying at the Nirvana part of the hotel (adults only), you can't enjoy the free drinks at the Nirvana pool bar eather... The beach itself is sandy, but when going into the water it is best to put on sandals (provided without charge by the hotel on the beach). Overall, I think the hotel is a great place for kids, lots of water sports free of charge (even snorkeling in an area a bit further of the beach and glass bottom boat ride). Didn't try the water skiing... If you take all inclusive, you can go and eat in every restaurant at the hotel, however some dishes aren't included in all in (noted in the menus).
Overall, I thought the hotel had good value for the money...
Hope you enjoy your stay at Mauritius!
