Hotel's Favourite
This newly renovated hotel looks amazingly beautiful. In particular, the garden is a gem with diverse plants. Some areas seemed redone and plants need further growth, but the area with established trees and flowers are so nicely designed and the pond linked with the pool area is lovely. The Flic en Flac beach itself is picturesque. The sea is shallow for swimming or snorkeling, so it’s important to check and wait for the high tide. This long beach was better for a hike. For swimming, we mostly used the pool. The adult pool is beautiful and calm. There are plenty of beach chairs on the beach and around the swimming pools. All restaurants and bars look posh and provide foods and drinks of high quality at reasonable prices. The hotel offered a variety of live music and performances for lunch time and evening entertainment. I particularly loved to listening to lovely songs mixed with the sound of waves at the bar next to Les Coquillages. The spa is under reconstruction so sauna and steam room are not expected to be around until end of December 2023. Massages were available in two designated guest rooms with massage beds or on the beach. I preferred the one on the beach. Staff members were welcoming, friendly and helpful. There are wild life such as lizards, birds, frogs and cats. Don’t get scared by the frog chorus in the evening. Unlike European ones, they stop singing around midnight. And according to our search they help controlling mosquitoes. On rainy days and in the evening, baby frogs can hop around, so mind your steps.

I just spent a week at this excelent hotel. I was last there in 2010, it was excelent then, but even better now. Due to unforseen circumstances, my grlfriend and young son could not join me, but the hotel staff were professional, caring and made my stay perfect. The hotel is very professionally managed, located on a great beach (Flic en Flac), has well appoointed rooms and high quality bathrooms. The gardens (and everything else) are extremely well maintained. Food and drink is expensive, but predictable for a high end five star resort hotel. The beach is kept very clean, although the sand is coarse with some bits of coral, so you need to wear shoes to walk any distance. There is a river at the end of the beach, possible to cross if go into the sea and waist up to your waste, but would hugely benefit from an ornate bridge to allow a full walk up the rest of the beach. One of my favourite hotels....and I have stayed in quite a few !

Went to Mauritius in January to celebrate my husband birthday. We arrived at the Hilton early and within 15-20 minutes we were in our room. This was really nice as check in wasn’t till 2pm. The weather was glorious and our entire stay was bright and sunny about 31 degrees. We had a lovely spacious room with a sea view and a lovely balcony. The room had a lovely big bed and all the amenities you could ask for including robes and slippers the room was clean and airy. There were free bottles of water and a paid mini bar. The hotel left us some lovely birthday decoration and free gifts like a beach bag and beach hat. This was a lovely touch and a great start to the holiday. The staff in the hotel are amazing and the rooms were cleaned to the highest standards. The staff are not in your face like some hotels but available if you need them. The beach is pristine with lovely white sand and plenty of sun loungers. We spent quite a bit of time at the boat house where we partook in lots of water sports such as pedalos kayaking which are free to use. They also provide all the snorkelling gear and life jackets so don’t worry if you forget to pack them. We met David, Daniel and a few of their colleagues and they organised a boat trip for us to see dolphins. We were lucky enough to see 2 pods of dolphins and my husband swam with them. It was truly magical. Daniel and David were so helpful and answered all our queries and spent time chatting to us. The water was crystal clear and warm enough to swim in. Truly beautiful. There is also a lovely infinity pool where we spent a lot of time. It was very relaxing and peaceful. A lovely place to relax. There was a South African waiter there who looked after us. He was a very pleasant man who would help as much as he could. The breakfast was fantastic at the Hilton and there were so many items to choose from. You can have something made fresh if you want or just help yourself from the buffet. Breakfast was organised and a lovely time to spend in the hotel. All the waiters and waitresses were brilliant checking to see if you were ok. We didn’t really spend much time in the restaurants as decided to eat out in Flic en Flac. Be warned the restaurants sell out out of food quite early on so do try and get there early. The hotel had a good gym and a top quality steam and sauna which was free to use. In general this is a mid sized hotel which is quiet and peaceful with amazing staff and services. If you are looking for a relaxing break look no further than Hilton Thank you for an amazing time

We stayed in the Hilton Mauritius from January 6-17th 2024. The staff and Mauritian people are very friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself is modern with new renovations to the rooms and restraunts. The rooms are very clean and the beds are extra large and comfortable. We stayed next to the adults only infinity pool which is luxurious and beautiful at sunset. The food overall was very good. In particular our favourite dinner restraunt was the Thai restaurant Ginger. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious! Our waiter on many nights was Hansley - he was exceptional and made sure that we were very well looked after. The best spot for lunch in our opinion is at the adults only pool beach bar. The service at this bar was the best of all the bars. A special mention to our waiters Matieus and Umkar who were super friendly and attentive everyday. Matieus made a conscious effort to get to know the guests and he made time to chat with us most days. The hotel offers lots of activities and the water sports on offer are great. Most activities don’t have an additional cost. The boathouse staff were helpful and offered lessons for the hobbie cat sail boat. The spa was recently renovated and they offer a wide variety of treatments. Overall a very positive stay! We look forward to coming back to the island. The Callan’s (Scotland UK)

We visited this hotel right after renovation so some things were not operational yet, e.g. the spa, although arrangements had been made to cater for treatments in other rooms. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning, the staff delightful, and the food delicious. Bit disappointed with our room as it wasn’t really what we expected although we had upgraded. A few things didn’t work in the room either, but it didn’t necessarily bother us. All in all, I’d be happy to give the hotel a chance again in the future.

Staff The staff at Hilton Mauritius were the highlight of our 10-night stay. From bellboys to housekeepers, everyone greeted us with genuine smiles. Special mentions to Kapeel for his delightful welcome drinks and morning coffees, Stephanie, the cheerful breakfast chef, and Ameer, our cocktail expert at Ginger Thai. Their personal touches greatly enhanced our experience. Arrival and Check-in The pre-arrival communication was reassuring, and check-in went smoothly. We were offered an upgrade to a “king grand deluxe” room, which I’d recommend declining unless a bath is essential for you. Room Experience We requested a downgrade for a room closer to the pool, finding the grand deluxe room a bit dated and less practical. The standard deluxe room was satisfactory but felt more like a business room in size and style, with the exception of the bed. Due to its newness, the bed was too hard for my wife’s back problems, and it took eight nights for the hotel to find a suitable solution. The prolonged response time was disappointing for a hotel in this price range. Restaurant and Dining Experience Our dining experiences varied. The special Christmas Eve dinner at the buffet restaurant was underwhelming, particularly the overcooked Tomahawk steaks. However, Ginger Thai and Cocquillages offered delicious meals with great cocktails. Be prepared for relatively high drink prices. Breakfast and Coffee The breakfast buffet started impressively with tasty bao buns and fried rice. However, the lack of variety over a 10-night stay was a letdown. The coffee, often standing too long before being served, was not enjoyable. We were happy that we always could go to Kapeel for a nice cup of coffee! Pool Facilities The pool was exceptionally beautiful, resembling a river with a waterfall and stone features. Beach Experience The beach was easily accessible for swimming, and the sunsets on this side of the island were spectacular. Activities and Entertainment The boathouse offered various complimentary water sports. Expanding to boat tours for snorkeling would be a welcome addition. Evening entertainment was relaxed but enjoyable, though it was disappointing when musicians stopped performing on the beach. Overall Impression Overall, our stay was enjoyable, marred only by the sleep experience and the less than satisfactory response from the hotel’s management. We give Hilton Mauritius 4 out of 5 stars, primarily due to the exceptional staff and their service.

Thanks Kunal 😍, Josef Cupidon 😍, Kathiana 😍, F&B Trainer and all that cool staff! We love you! Our experience in a few words: Good stuff: -the staff is very nice and makes you feel good, -the hotel looks amazing and is very clean, -the buffet food is good, thanks to the creations of the Goddess behind the closed doors, Kathiana and Co. -Thai restaurant is excellent, thanks to the Chef from Thailand who uses, legend says, spices only from Thailand. I’m still dreaming about your Tom Yam Soup. -pools are warm, separated kids area, extra adult infinity pool. -tipps are accepted, but don’t change a thing: the service is perfekt with or without tipps, you should teach the European waiters how is done. Not so good stuff: (FBPlus package for 8.5k €) - The drinks ! Full Pension plus only 3 (small) glasses of lokal bier or wine pro person during the meals. After making some jokes, the glasses got bigger, like 500ml. - we even paid for water and coffee on the pool, between meals. - cocktails are expensive, it starts at 550 Rupies (12€) and not even good mixed, like in a cheap bar. - kids club is dead. The girl inside was like “hello, name pls, first time in kids club?” and that was it. No showing where is what, play with our girl, she just kept drawing something. Idk if she has to do something with the kids or just be there to open the door. Fact is it was behind our room and we where there 10 minutes in 10 days. - you have to pay extra for the good stuff in the a la Karte Restaurants. Grill evening on the beach is 2k pro person; Overall a good experience!
