Long Beach Mauritius strikes a chord with guests for its vibrant yet tranquil setting, complete with live entertainment and lush landscapes. While the spacious rooms with stunning views are a hit, some guests suggest they could benefit from a refresh. The hotel's cleanliness receives accolades, especially for the pristine pools and beaches, albeit with some calls for consistent cleaning schedules. The all-inclusive package, however, has come under scrutiny for hidden costs. Service at the hotel can be a mixed bag—commendable for its friendliness but occasionally lacking in promptness. The resort's amenities are widely celebrated, though the secluded location may not suit everyone's taste.

We’ve been here in June with the family for a 8 days stay. The family suite was a beautiful 2 room apartment. It was clean and very well maintained by the staff. Location of the room was a few minutes walk to the beach and restaurants but in this beautiful big location every walk was a pleasure even with the kids.
The hotel is located at a nice beach that is very clean. Water is great. Coral riff near by. We did not use the water sports activities but there are plenty options.
From the moment we arrived we felt very very welcome and that was thanks to the team. The welcome drink was tasty and during our visits in the different restaurant everyone was so kind especially to the kids. Our 2 year old son Matheo was soon well known by the restaurant crew and he had the time of his life there.
Child entertainment was used twice and the kids loved it even though they did not speak English they enjoyed the first stay so much they wanted to repeat it the second day.
On our last day the table was beautifully decorated with flowers and as we had two small kids we were allowed to get a free late check out and could use the room until 4pm as well as all of the all in services we had booked also until 4pm. Fantastic.
A huge thanks to the people that work in Long Beach. You make this amazing place even more amazing.
We will return. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.

Myself and partner are in our last few days of our 2 week stay . The whole experience here is amazing. Check in was easy and you are given a cold tea which was very refreshing. The apartments are huge . Very comfortable beds. You have a small fridge which is your minbar. This is topped up daily. Would be nice to have a more variety of snacks and drinks. We are AI so didn’t have to pay for these items. Asha the housekeeper who kept our room spotless . The food is truly delicious. Buffet for breakfast and dinner. There were so much to choice from . Different theme nights. would like to mention Anastasia who at breakfast time made sure we were very well looked after . Tea and coffee waiting for us .Also Rajh who was also very attentive. Lunchtime you can have food by the pool or in the 3 restaurants. The guys who waiter round the pool where so attentive. Adi, Darren and Oliver . We went fishing twice with the gentleman on the beach he was very knowledgeable about the fish and areas along the coast line .with the fish we caught Oliver sorted out with one of the chiefs cooking it for our evening meal . The fish was excellent. All the staff were polite and friendly. We sorted a day trip with one of the taxi drivers basheer who work for the hotel . He was very knowledgeable and we had a wonderful experience. There is paragliding on the beach as well as other water sports . The weather has been perfect. The only downside is in the restaurants and bars you have to pay for premium drinks and food . The free WiFi worked well.Would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone

I have recently returned from 8 days with my husband and two sons age 13 and 11 and we had the holiday of a lifetime!

The hotel is beautiful with a stunning stretch of beach with watersports, pools and bars. All the staff were so friendly and helpful and every single one would say hello when you walk past. There are lots of sun loungers and no problem with ever getting one. The infinity pool is adults only but the view is just breathtaking.

We stayed half board but wished we had stayed all inclusive as the lunch and drinks does add up. We tended not to have lunch often but on the occasions we did it worked out a lot as there are no other restaurants or anything outside the hotel grounds within walking distance.

The buffet restaurant was ok, but lots of pigeons landing on tables at breakfast time and the service for drinks, especially in the evening was slow. We much preferred eating at the al a carte restaurants – the Italian and Tides were excellent. Had high hopes for Chopsticks but the menu was limited and I was disappointed there. My husband and eldest son ate at the Japanese one night (which everyone has to pay for) and said it served the best sushi they had ever had.

We had always wanted to try parasailing and Nicholas and the boys on the beach arranged that for us, plus undersea walking which was amazing (extra cost for both). They have daily trips on a glass bottom boat and snorkelling plus you can take a kayak or paddleboard and all of those are free for hotel guests. There is also a games room with gym, pool table, table tennis and outside football pitch and boules. The sports team arranged water polo, football matches and various other activities.

We really loved sitting in the bar in the evening. All the evening staff were so welcoming and the entertainment was good.

We stayed in a family room which was lovely and big with two separate rooms and two bathrooms. My one big issue with the room was that in the main bathroom there was no privacy whatsoever. It was open to the bedroom, the toilet was in the corner with frosted glass door and window and also the shower. If you wanted privacy then we needed to go into the kids bathroom!

There are a lot of mosquitoes, we thought we were extra careful with putting on repellent but still got bitten loads of times.

Weather was ok, end of May is winter there so it’s nice and hot in the morning and then around 3pm each day there would be some rain. Sometimes just a few spots then it cleared sometimes that was it for the door and it became stormy. Sunset was just after 5.30 and it was dark by 6.30 but you could see some amazing sunsets with coloured skies.

All in all we had an amazing time and would love to go back, just not sure if we can afford it again!

We visited with extended family over Easter. All in all a nice hotel with excellent facilities for kids but the hotel itself not quite 5* compared to others on the island.

Positives:
1. Excellent kids club. They took excellent care of our 5+7 year olds. Lots of activities. Highly recommend Geraldine who we hired for babysitting every day for our 12 month old baby so we could enjoy some time to ourselves. Excellent professional service and great facilities in the kids club. Also had lifeguards at the pool.

2. Great food. The restaurants for dinner were all lovely and felt like a proper restaurant setting.buffet does a great breakfast and pool bar serves food til 3pm including to your sun loungers.

3. Rooms were spacious and bright.

Negatives of our experience:
1. Difficult to get restaurant booking in busy season. We had the buffet 5 nights in a row. Make sure to book asap.
2. All sun loungers by the pool taken by 8am. They need a system to tackle this. People left with nowhere to relax and keep an eye on kids swimming.
3. The wine and cocktails are below par if you're in any way particular. The basic wine offering on All Inclusive is really poor quality and not everything was available. There was only 1 red wine available and we were told the other wines on their all inclusive list wouldn't be available for at least a month. While there are plenty of cocktails on the list, they don't use enough fresh ingredients (1 tiny piece of lime in a mojito) and everything is exceptionally sweet as they use too much syrup. While this might be minor for most people our whole group found it difficult to find anything enjoyable to drink beyond beer. They also used to have a mojito bar on the beach. This should be brought back as all the action revolves around the pool bar rather than a beach experience you'd get at some other hotels with beach bars for that toes in the sand holiday vibe. They do however bring a drink to your beach lounger but just not the same social experience as having a bar on the beach itself.

4. Room service/house keeping kept taking our used towels but not replacing them with fresh ones. We often had 1 bath towel between the whole family and had to keep calling to ask for more. Same goes for the coffee pods in the room. Never restocked.

All in all I'd recommend but doesn't quite reach 5 stars especially when compared to other 5 stars on the island.

Good value for money , although hotel was full you don’t feel overcrowded as the rooms are all spaced out as is the pool and beach area. Very friendly staff , a nice change from the Caribbean that there is no pressure or expectation around tipping. We singled out those that had provided excellent customer service like Vikesh who serves drinks around the pool. He couldn’t have been more helpful, polite and friendly , wherever we were sitting, even if it wasn’t his section, if I went to the bar for drinks he grabbed someone to take my order and sent me packing back to my lounger!!
Also Gan behind the bar at Tides, these are busy people but he was so smiley and friendly , also remembering what I liked and giving it to me before I asked.
The restaurants were all nice, Tides I’m the evening had a very limited option though, at lunch there is a very full menu to suit all tastes but the evening was very different.
The buffet was excellent, Sapori also delicious.
Activities were varied and we enjoyed aquagym and waterpolo, kids enjoyed the sports centre.
Rooms are very comfortable , clean and modern , my only disappointment was that although you could order unlimited bottles of wine on the all inclusive package outside the room it was chargeable in the minibar?
My reasons for not giving it 5 stars ( I would give it 4.5) is that for a 5* hotel there wasn’t quite the attention to detail in service I would expect. Breakfast particularly you could struggle to get cutlery, tea , coffee etc as it was hot and miss with what server you had, although the food was lovely . Had to wait extortionate amount of time to wait to sign a check that was 0 on all inclusive when just wanted to get the kids out of restaurants, not enough beach/pool service , they were very stretched.
Not a dress up kind of place, that suited us but there were clearly guests there that were expecting a bit more glamour I think .
Inclusive water sports were good , see Monica on the beach and book a day trip out on a speedboat, that was a great day, saw dolphins!
Overall a lovely hotel and I thoroughly enjoyed it but can’t say it was perfect when it wasn’t .

We visited this resort in early December (just before the crowds set in). This, being our 3rd trip to Mauritius, allowed us to stay for the full week at the resort as we had seen everything else the island had to offer. That was the best decision we made.

The resort is fairly new and looks stunning. It is on the east coast on the Belle Mare beach. There are 4 speciality restaurants and 1 main buffet restaurant (which had a different theme every night). Food in all these restaurants was great and there was lots of variety. There are 3 pools - the main big pool being heated. Pool side service was available and we made good use of it.

Lots of activities are available at the resort viz table tennis, rock climbing, a well equipped gym, fitness classes like Zumba, golf, archery, and an awesome kids club. Various water activities are also available such as glass bottom boat, kayaking, wind surfing, paddle boats and snorkeling. Nightly entertainment was provided by the resort until midnight. This was in the form of singers, bands, and DJ. Unfortunately, there are no magicians, trapeze artists or similar. This is not the best I have experienced from other resorts on the island and I hope that the resort will improve there lot going forward.

We upgraded to a family suite which consisted of 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The suite was beautiful and very comfortable for the 4 of us. We also stayed on the all inclusive package which I highly recommend.

Overall, I would highly recommend this resort.

Although a Fantastic Hotel, with great facilities, and amazing staff, this hotel does have some negatives, which did affect us from having a perfect experience, which for the price we paid, thought we was guaranteed.
1. All inclusive package - We paid quite a lot of money for the All inclusive package, which we paid so we didn't have to worry about money when staying at the hotel, however, all i did for most of the two weeks was worry how much the supplement costs would be for items. We did get used to this after a while and you learn to know what is a supplement cost or not, which on most occasions is quite clear, however, still lowered the mood and got us off to a bad start when we arrived. The supplement costs were very high as well. One example, if we wanted to get ice creams for the family(four of us), it would of cost £16(we didn't bother)/ Other costs were £30 supplement for prawns at a restaurant or £60 for Lobster. I do understand some supplements would be valid, however, not as high as they was. Minibar also had items with substantial supplement costs. In room dining also came with supplements.
Also you need to sign for everything, even though it could be a £0 cost, and it felt like this was to show what we had got for free(without supplement and included in our package), however, some of the item prices were not realistic. i.e sparkling wine was 3600 Rupees, which is over £60 which is very unrealistic for a standard sparkling wine.
2. Our room had a cleaners cupboard directly outside the front door, so was waken every morning at around 8am when they arrived for the day. (Wasn't the cleaners fault, just the location of the room)
3. Buffet area layout not very spacious so in busy times(majority), it felt quite congested and claustrophobic which out is off some mornings
4. We had a Junior suite Ocean access room, however, when we was shown the room for the first time, our daughters single beds were pressed up either side of our double bed, so had to climb over our daughters to get out of our bed, which for the price we paid and a 5 star hotel is unacceptable. We needed some breathing space, however, felt this wasn't considered. The room felt smaller that we thought. Could of been our mistake but please check when booking

Having said all above, we did have a fantastic time, and is a great hotel, however, feel above needs to be shared.
Staff that went over and above were Nilesh, Pawan, Olivier Jeannot(Pool), Melissa(Starpoli), Ryan(Chopsticks)

We stayed at long Beach in May 2023 for 2 weeks we arrived at Hotel to a lovely cold drink and a nice cold face cloth check in was very quick the only disappointment was we had done an overnight flight we been awake 27 hours and room was not ready yet but they offered us use of a lovely shower to refresh ourselves which was nice we went down to the beach had a drink and some lunch than went back to be taken to our room. Out room was lovely shower or bath tv fridge with coke beer milk apple juice it was refreshed every day there was tea and coffee in your room there was pod coffee two free ones than you pay if you wanted anymore of them we didn't touch them we also had water in our room too. The beach was lovely you need Beach shoes in the sea as there sea urchins on the bottom so beach shoes were advised by tui we had staff coming to the sun beds on the beach taking your order for drinks you sign for everything drinks lunch and dinner but not breakfast we were all inclusive food was amazing the Italian restaurant amazing food love that you can see the chefs cooking. If you want to go to the chop sticks or Italian or seafood restaurant you just go and see the concierge where you eat breakfast and they will book it for you the only restaurant you have to pay for was the Japanese restaurant Hasu which we didn't go to but wish we had as was told food was amazing too. The staff were amazing couldn't do enough for us Anastasia, Melissa, Celine so beautiful flowers at breakfast and a teaspoon for my husband for his pudding even before my husband asked them they had it in there pocket for him. Also Marco at lunch time was lovely bar staff really friendly. Ashvin Dookhee was lovely he couldn't do enough for us thank you. We did a trip the South of the island with tui with Lindley as are tour guide so you can ask for him with tui tours he was amazing. We also did walking with the lions at Casela Nature Park that was amazing staff there was absolutely amazing too. Thank you Long Beach for an amazing hoilday.

I would 100% recommend Long Beach hotel to everyone! We stayed for a week with our 3 children ages 3.5, 8 & 10 and it was just perfect. The day 0 test on arrival was quick and efficient and thought the room we were taken too was fine.
One of our children has a severe nut & milk allergy and the teams in the restaurants were just fantastic. Big shout out to Sanjay, Ravi, Suraj, Sajeda!! in the main restaurant and all the ladies at Tides (sorry I can’t remember everyone’s names). They catered so well and nothing was too much trouble. I didn’t feel we had to worry, normally when we go away there is inevitably something our child misses out on but this holiday everything was taken care of so well and if something wasn’t available or wanted to eat something else then they made this. On our last day the lovely staff in the main restaurant also made some freshly baked muffins and cakes to take on the flight home as the food on the plane had just been horrendous. We really appreciate the care and consideration regarding allergies especially as there are so many guests to look after. Our daughter says this was by far the best holiday and we couldn't agree more. You had to wear your mask in the buffet restaurants and it was hardly any trouble at all.
We had a 2 bedroom family room and the kids loved the fact they had their own bathroom/bedroom and even slippers, which was a lovely touch. The fruits and chocolate on arrival in our room was also greatly received.
There was always enough sun beds on the beach or around the pool, the only thing I would say is the pool was cold would be great if it was slightly warmer! The service around the pool was great and also in the evening Bar, Pawan took care of us. The activities around the pool such as the water polo was so much fun. We used the other facilities at the sport centre and had a chance to play tennis and ping pong. The children also went to the kids club which they really enjoyed and got to try out the wall climbing, they were given their own kids club bag too. The staff in the kids club do a fantastic job and have such a varied range of activities they have each day.
We also tried the paddle boat and kayak on the beach and enjoyed the glass bottom boat ride.
The resort is kept so clean and all the garden areas are so well maintained. Also the pool guy would be in the pool each morning checking it to make sure all was ok for the day ahead. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming.
We paid for a late check-out as our flight wasn’t until midnight and we didn’t leave the hotel until 8pm. So glad we did this in advance and it meant we had all day to enjoy the resort and make the most of the last day.
This holiday was the perfect break for our family and would love to return at again in the future, thank you!

We did 1/2 board as not big drinkers either. And as we knew we would be out during the day sightseeing felt the extra for AI to be extortionate. 2 beers approx £16. Hope this helps. Have a great holiday. But of advice it’s very windy at this hotel you will need a jacket wrap or cardigan in the evenings. Also there isn’t much seating in the bar and plaza area we gave up a few nights and just went back to our room
