We visited Maldives not for the the first time, before we were at different hotels: 4 stars, and a chic five-star, so I think that this hotel is not a 5 stars at all. I'd give him 3.5 maximum Let's start with the pros: 1. Very good kids club 2. Walking on a small yacht where you could see dolphins. It was my longtime dream. 3. Rather good room cleaning. 4. Great laundry service: fast and high quality. 5. Very good Japanese restaurant. All the advantages of this hotel are over. Disadvantages: 1. Poor beach. Yes, it is difficult to imagine that in the Maldives, but here it is. Sand was greatly expelled from the coast. So they put special pipes in and under the water, and this absolutely ruined the view. Photo I attached. Entering the water without special shoes is very uncomfortable. Take it with you. Thanks to previous review here I took shoes for my kids otherwise I do not know how they can go into the ocean. 2. We had all inclusive paid in advance. When we arrived, they assured me that we had only breakfast on. It lasted an hour until our manager contacted the hotel. They immediately confirmed that we have all inclusive. 3. According to our food plan, the minibar in the room was supposed to be refilled every 4 days, so they never refilled it without our additional call to the reception. 4. We had a two-bedroom villa with a swimming pool. The pool, by the way, is very small, it i ok to only for kids (it is less than a meter). They also never came to clean the pool themselves. Only after our requests. 5. Buggy often had to wait 15 minutes to get to the restaurant. 6. Coconuts cost $10 there and are not included in the all-inclusive meal plan. And they grow in the Maldives — funny and sad. 7. There is no normal communication between the client and guest relations service. Requests are largely unanswered: we asked for 2 sun loungers for a week, because we are 4 people, and there were only 2 sun loungers. Also there were soft comfortable sun beds near some rooms. We asked the same but we were refused meanwhile our neighbors had it in 1 day after our request till their departure. Though they had one bedroom villa without pool and no kids. Then we have asked even simple rotang ones but nobody brought it. Any request either failed at all, or from 3-4 attempts somehow managed to resolve the issue. This is the first time I've encountered this. It was like nobody cares what the guests ask and what is important for them. Before departure I met the manager. It seemed he was not aware of these problems. He kindly asked to solve it with two mates near our pool and basket with fruits but I think that the service does not seem like 5 Stars Hotel. Sorry I will not recommend the hotel.

Hotel's Favourite
Savoring the good life indeed. We visited this lovely resort for 2 nights prior to its official opening on September 1, 2021 and we are impressed with the effort and hardwork done by the team. Upon arrival in the island we felt the warm welcome despite not being officially open, almost the entire team were at the arrival jetty waving in glee along with the traditional Bodu Beru played. We felt the genuine joy of each and everyone who greeted the group. The villas are all spacious and well designed for comfort. All that you need from a 5 star resort is made available, even the iron and the board is already in your villa if you fancy a well pressed attire whilst dining fine at their restaurants. The water villas are exemplary as it sits above the crystal lagoon. One feature we like is that the AC auto turning off when we kept the doors open for too long. Saves us from trouble for causing damages on the AC as it slips the mind most of the time. The food is heavenly! Breakfast is almost filled with action stalls, so almost everything is freshly made! Love the Indian corner, Chinese stall, Crepes was a favorite 🤩, fresh fruits corner and many more… Turquoise Restaurant serves great food. Lunch at Velaa Bar was of course just as great specially with the unbeatable beach and seaview. Not to mention you got the main pool area too. Sunset cocktail at Reviera was such a delightful experience. Small bites are available at Latitude where you can have your quite moments and enjoy a good coffee. And the fine dining at Tabemaso was a fun experience for us, it us a must venue during the stay. It has Teppanyaki table facing the ocean! The Overwater Spa of course made me 😴 haha..a touch of comfort and pampering is definitely what you get so get ready to say bye to all stress and negative energy lingering on your body. Special thanks for everyone who made our visit a lovely one. Who says you can’t mix pleasure with business 😘 Wishing everyone successful years!

We stayed at LeMeridien for 8 days and we were the first guests of 2022 as we arrived on the morning of the 1st of Jan. The room was available even before the expected time and we were very glad for it. Everything was perfect, very chill vibe, relaxing, the beaches are desert and you feel you have the island just for you (not sure will be the same when they will open the other water villas though). Food was good quality and a lot of variety. The highlight of the place I think is the staff, all very nice, kind and patient. In particular I would like to mention Housaam, our amazing diving instructor (thank you for your patience), the biologist Candice, Deepak at Rivera, Vishun at Vela, and the whole staff of Tambemasu. We also would like to thank you the kind Indian girl that meet us the first day and that was able to get us the Le Meridien bag. Pro: Island is amzing, water clear, house reef is close and you can swim there if the wind is not strong, staff is kind, selection of food, never crowded. I would now recommand all inclusive as you have plenty of activity during the day and the breakfast is so good that you can have that and stay without eating until dinner. However if you like to drink then definitely go for the all inclusive. You have all the watersport you can think of. Cons: We were in the sunset overwater villa with private pool. The room is very nice, the villa gives you a lot of privacy and I like the bathtub overlooking the ocean. However, given this is a new hotel I was expecting more attention to details on the interior design of the room (for example the front door was not in good condition, the furnitures and details of the room were not exciting). While you have a small shower in the terrace, you dont have anything to wash your feet at the entrance of the villa. Buggies: sometime the wait for a buggy was too long. Would be nice to have the bikes available. I saw they put them for the guests but then they removed them so wondering what happened there.

What an experience! We came for our honeymoon three months after Le Meridien opened. The food and the staff were outstanding! We didn’t expect to eat SO WELL. We also later learned that this quality of food is not the norm: we later went to another resort (that had a higher Marriott rating and overall was more costly) and the food was disappointing in comparison to Le Meridien. Some folks who deserve mention: (1) Sanal, their in-house barista, was incredible. Outstanding coffee, ready for us each morning (don’t be afraid to ask for the “house special” as his fruit-infused creations are delightful, and if you like Irish Coffee this will be the best you’ve ever had); and (2) Rameez, who designs all their Indian and Maldivian food. OH_MY_GOODNEES. Rameez puts heart and soul into his creations and you can taste every morsel. He was kind enough to make us a dinner from his home Kerala, India which I’ve visited years ago…it was our favorite meal of the trip. Special mention also to Mae (bartender at Riveria) who took such great care of us. And many thanks to all the staff whom we don’t know by name but who worked so hard to make our honeymoon such an incredible experience.
