There are myriad hotels in Kuching; few are memorable. Batik Boutique is one of those rare places where the conflux of intimate surroundings and personable staff immediately put you at ease. Everything feels instantly familiar and welcoming; while, the locally-inspired decor conveys a subtle sense of warmth that is lacking in even the most high-priced of Kuching’s establishments. This is...

he room was big and clean and the bed and linen were fresh and comfortable. The best hot shower we had in Asia too. Breakfast was great too, and the staff were very nice to us. even the manager she helped us to arrange our trips personally too. Nothing bad to say. Highly recommend this hotel!

January 2017 stay with wife and daughter. Had communicated with them for some time regarding trip and desires while in Kuching. Have never had such personal attention....and that was from the entire staff of 7 that we met. All were so eager to meet every need, point us to the best activities, and help us get there. Stay in many...

This is a very homely Hotel. Very welcoming with a traditional drink. This hotel is so convenient cos' it near to tourist area and food places and shopping. We stayed here for 12 nights followed by two more at a later time in Jan. as we had to use Kuching as a base (due to injury). The co-operators/owners were sensational in their assistance to me - collecting me from hospital, ensuring I had everything I needed and transporting us to the bus stop when we headed off to...

Stayed here for one night and received the best and friendliest service I've had from any hotel thus far! We were prepared to walk to the museum, but were offered a ride in a car to the museusm by the staff. They are also very helpful, and speak good English as well. Really enjoyed my stay here and wish that...

I spent a weekend in Kuching and had a great time at the Batik Boutique Hotel. My room was comfortable and spacious with a wonderful bath tub! The hotel is conveniently located within the city. But the best part of my stay was the wonderful staff. They welcomed me as a friend, helping me arrange sightseeing, personally showing me around...

We spent only two nights in this cosy hotel and felt very welcomed. It is strategically located in the city area and our room was quiet and the comfortable bed provided peaceful rest after a long day. The room was spacious and carefully equipped with care. The hotel had just upgraded their wifi so it was very fast although it...

If you're looking for a place which fits the criteria above there's no better place in Kuching than the Batik Boutique. I really don't want to hype it too much because it's a small establishment and I may never be able to book to stay there again. Jackie and her staff embody the spirit of Sarawakian hospitality. Take time to...

At one time, this conveniently located and charming hotel had everything going for it. The owner invested a lot on good design, training her staff in customer care and establishing a fair degree of luxury. When boutique hotels were not commonplace and people's expectations were less demanding, Batik Boutique must have shone like a jewel in the city's lacklustre crown....
