Upon our arrival, we were so shocked to see the wonderful farm because it is even more beautiful than on the website. Me and my kids, stayed over Olivia's bungalow for 5 nights and the last night we stayed at Kebun Residences because we had an early flight the next day. This was so convenient for us because the the... More

My husband and I stayed in the headmans longhouse for 5 nights. We had a very memorable stay - the rooms are rustic and homely. Adrian and Jeanette was extremely helpful and the car was great to get us around, especially since the weather was not great. The highlight of the stay was the New Year's Eve dinner .. They... More

First, the property is amazing! Adrian is a master and a genius in his own right, and has created something wonderful in the process of realizing his dream. My stay at The Kebun was merely to kill a few days before 10 days of photography work at Bako National Park. However, my three nights here proved to be highly enjoyable.... More

We booked The Kebun after wanting something different from the usual hotel stay, as frequent business travellers, and this place hit the mark. Inclusion of vehicles was fantastic so we could self-drive anywhere we wanted - not owning for the past few years meant that this was a novelty. The meals were homely and the kitchen was generously stocked with... More

I went to Kuching on business, but added a few days over the weekend to see a little bit of the country. Staying at the Kebun was perfect for what I wanted. It was close to central Kuching but not your standard boring generic hotel accommodation. It's really unique and I am really inspired by what Adrian has created here.... More

We loved The Kebun - it's a very relaxing place, the staff are super friendly and helpful, it's in a great location and the meals are delicious. We stayed for 5 nights in the Headman's Longhouse which was perfect for our family. Our two kids (3 and 5 years old) had plenty of space and enjoyed the novelty of sleeping... More

We stayed in the Longhouse here in September 2013. There were 2 families with 8 of us in total, with kids aged 7 - 10. This was by far the highlight of the trip. The setting is gorgeous; with plenty of room to stretch you legs. The kids enjoyed getting up early and feeding the animals and exploring the property.... More

We just stayed for 3 nights at the kebun longhouse and we spent a very nice moment there. You need to know that the place is a farm and that accomodation is rather simple but traditionnaly decorated. If you are looking for a real break from your daily working life, then this is a great choice. In sync with nature!... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Kebun was started 12 years ago as our plan for a retirement home in Sarawak, East Malaysia. Adrian’s Bungalow was put up after being disassembled from the movie set of The Sleeping Dictionery. Olivia’s was only put up only two years later when it was taken out of storage which was also disassembled from the same movie set. The farmstay side of the business only started in April 2010 after much encouragement from friends. The Kebun is not just accommodation, it is an experience. If you would like to get a taste for the basics of a simple lifestyle in a beautiful tropical setting, which is of fresh gardens of organic herbs & vegetables, picking your own tropical fruits, dining on fresh farm raised livestock, fishing for your own freshwater fish & simple accommodation with little impact to the environment, or even to help out with feeding all of the animals at the end of the day’s activities and again in the morning, then your are up for a unique Sarawakian adventure at The Kebun. ... more   less
