I stayed here for a week with my family and we had a wonderful time. The location is superb and the food exceptional. The pool was closed for repair but we were told that well in advance and in theend it did not matter because there was always plenty to see and do. The river trip to see the wildlife...

The breakfast buffer was poor quality, Do be fooled by upgrading the room to the Kinabalu , So you can use the lounge, not worth it Otherwise ok The room had good amenities The pool was good, It was fun playing mini golf with family

I had my wedding at this hotel last Saturday. Darlene from the wedding planning section is always helpful so is Rosley the operation manager, who was in charge of the rundown on my big day. I had a memorable and carefree night with my families and friends. Due to typhoon in HK, as a result of cancelled flights many guests...

10 out of 10 for every aspect of this resort. We could not fault anything at all. Hoping that all the other hotels in the group are equally as good. Will definitely recommend this as the perfect location.

the hotel is beautiful. Our sea view room was excellent. Food was great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Beware of the taxes when getting a massage. Breakfast at the tatu cafe was very hectic thou, would suggest getting there early. A must is to go the the sister hotel to see the orangutan rehabilitation centre.

The whole experience of the trip in Shangri-La Tanjung Aru is very excellent. I like the beach and the breakfast very much. The room and the facilities in the resort is beyond expectations. However, the efficiency of the check-in and check-out could be improved and the taxi fee is quite expensive.

My experience for the hotel staff is, they only care about their task, but not care about the customer and tried the best to satisfy the customer. Their intention is to claim the responsibility to others and not to solve the problems. I was experienced poor service, no response for my request, non-responsible attitude and unsatisfactory experience.

We had read lots of poor reviews in regard to the busy hotel and lowering standards, disappointed that it looked as if you needed to pay to upgrade (to Club Lounge) just to get a standard expected of a 4* hotel. Luckily we visited in September when it was slightly quieter and we had a good stay. We found the...

This hotel was a wonderful introduction to a wider explore of Borneo. It has a number of restaurants and bars which supply good quality, fresh food. The Italian was my personal favourite.
