Pretty average place, the room was clean, but definitely smelled a bit musty as did the hallways. We had no problem with the showers and had hot water, food in the restaurant was expensive and not that great. Fair walk from the park, but not so far you couldn't walk (we did multiple times). Easy enough to hitch a ride...

We did not pre-book thinking there are many hotels in Kundasang. We were wrong. It was the holiday weekend and places were full. This was the only place available, we drove around to five or six other places. I do not know how to describe this misnomer resort when it is not even a hotel. The design of the place...

Just here to mention about its restaurant (didn't stay in the resort but went to have lunch there). Priority was given to travel agency's customers so their food arrived first though we arrived and ordered first.

We were booked here by our agent as another place was full. Dirty rooms with many strands of hair and sandy bits over the beds. Hair in the bathroom shower, sink, floor, drainage pipe. A large cockroach joined us on the floor by the bed by morning, proabably dead from the dirt all around. While there was a large window...

We spent the night there as none of the lodges in the park had rooms available. Our room was on the 3rd floor. There were birds and their nests on the ceilings. The room was very dirty. The sheets were dirty and smelly with rock hard pillows. No WIFI. Tv was so old with only one channel. No hangers, no...

I spent 1 night at Fairy Garden Resort in february 2014, before climbing Mountain Kinabalu. I had to stay there because it was a last minute arrangement made by my travel guide (who actually did his best to help me to get permit for climbing Mountain Kinabalu after i decided 3 days before). From the entrance, terrible smell and also...

We stayed at J. Residence. We thought it must be great to have steamboat dinner during the cold raining night so our driver recommended this restaurant. The place is with very nice view. However, the big spacious restaurant is very disappointing. The food is below average and very expensive. The service is terrible too. Though this is one of the...

We (family of 4 and 2 parents-in-laws) came here recommended by our chartered taxi driver on our way from Kinabalu Park to Poring Hot Springs. The place serves Chinese food - big and spacious - and only 2 or 3 tables were occupied when we got in. Place name in Chinese is 仙園, just a couple minutes away from Kinabalu...

We stayed here before our ascent of Mount Kinabalu. Because we'd booked our tour late, none of the lodges in the park had rooms available. On the plus side, it has spectacular views. As it is built on the side of a hill, our room was on the top (3rd, maybe?) floor, which is at road level. Curiously, you check...
