The cheapest rooms in the center of KK. Ok so thats all pro's now con's: Shared bathroom - very dirty! Rooms are extremely basic- don't expect even a table and not so clean either. Breakfast included means there is toast bread and jam. Stay only if lacking anymore funds

Overall, the place is quite nice to stay. The rooms are decently clean and so is the common room area. The toilets could be cleaner, but then again I'm not expecting much with the humidity and amount of people flushing in and out everyday. They provide a free simple breakfast, which is bread, jam, coffee and tea. Although, with this...

First off ill go through the few positives; very central location which was good. There were two very sweet girls on reception, and one man who i assume is in charge, they were all very friendly and welcoming. Now for the rather longer list of negatives; no window in the room, so it was completely pitch black, also very small....

I slept here many days. The staff is very friendly. They help you with everything and are very interested in you. I was here with Christmas, it was a fantastic evening, we had a barbecue and after that we played funny games staff and guests together. After that they gave me a beautiful Christmas gift! Thank you so much. When...

We stayed for only a couple of nights whilst we waited for a cheaper fan room at another backpackers next door; I am focused on keeping our budget in check. X-Plorer Backpackers is just another unremarkable Malaysian backpackers, small rooms (some window-less) with shared bathrooms of dubious functionality and cleanliness. The kitchen facilities were more extensive than I have found...

We are group of backpackers visited Kota Kinabalu for hiking and scuba diving. Our room was okay. Hot water was available for shower. Toilet was little bit small for movement. But we accommodate ourself. Best part is, everything is very near by. Restrurant, ATM, shops, super market, Jetty and sea beach. Last day in our stay we face a problem....

The hostel was overbooked. The receptionists completely had not aware of our arrival despite my booking was confirmed and paid via Agoda. Besides, I have mailed them with regards my late arrival. Then the staffs just simply get a room, put a mattress on the FLOOR (yes, on the FLOOR without the bedframe, as shown at Agoda when we did...
