This is our favorite place for steamboat dinner during New Year Eve for the past few years with family members. What we like most is the cosy, quiet and beautiful scenery at the simple dining area while having our dinner there in cooling environment. The steamboat was charged at RM40 per person and the taste is quite delicious with enough...

Tourist usually flocks to the canteen area for their breakfast / lunch when visiting Penang Hill, when me and my mom visited Penang Hill we came to Bellevue Hotel for the breakfast. The menu set for breakfast was quite cheap only RM18.90 per set and we get to eat looking the beautiful scene. Though the hotel was quite old and...

Location is simply superb, but NYE in the year 1993 was a night to remember for a huge thunderstorm that blocked out everything further than 10 metres away and we certainly didn't see the usual fireworks display happening in Georgetown below. Not the fault of the Hotel by any means. So, with another group also in attendance, Japanese management hierarchy...

We had stayed here a few years ago and liked the view, quiet atmosphere and the novelty of such an awful hotel. So we booked for two nights but the novelty had worn off and the experience was not a good idea at all. First off is the walk from the train . It's up hill most of the way...

Rather run down. As an old penangite, it was painful to visit this spot. What really put me off was the 5-6 peacocks in rather small cages, which was simply cruel. If enough of us comment on this, it may put some pressure on the management to do something. The staff are rather 'simple'. Food is v poor. Had inchi...

We simply asked if we would be allowed to sit on the veranda for a while & were permitted. The verandah has stunning views of Penang below & allows you to see the old Crag Hotel (neglected since the Second World War but now getting some love as a location of the series "Indian Summers") perched on a nearby hilltop....

As there is little to do at the top of Penang Hill, I suppose the hotel has a captive audience for its Ginger Gardens, Aviary and Panorama Terrace. Starting with the view, it is spectacular, but little different from that you can get for free elsewhere. The aviary has lots of pigeons in cages, as well as several peacocks. But...

This is a lovely colonial era property surrounded by lush nature and stunning views. To be fair, it is not a glitzy resort. It is a quiet humble property offering cool breezes, a relaxed ‘bygone era’ atmosphere, and a closer look at flora and fauna to those that want to take advantage of it. We were referred to the property...

Came here for lunch while visiting Penang Hill. As the previous poster has said it's not a 5 star establishment so you need to accept it for what it is and that it has fantastic views and that you can sit quietly and have a nice snack whilst taking in all the charm. The fact that the place is over...

If your expecting 5star, this is not for you, so don't go here and then give crap reviews, that would be very unfair!!! It is an old hotel, offering only 11 rooms, BUT...... You will love it, no air conditioning needed as you are above the heat on the streets. The dining area on the north side boasts amazing views...
