I stayed in the dorms and was very comfortable. I always prefer staying at a warm, cozy homestay style place over party hostels. The staff here are very sincere and friendly, and the building itself is charming and authentic. I will stay here again when returning to Penang. Thanks!!

30 RM + 10RM key deposit gets you a bunk bed. beds were avg, but you get used to it. I think you get a large blanket, 1 towel and bath soap free (the really cheap soap that doesn't foam up too well in your hand.....most budget guesthouses use this style of soap). Well laid out....particularly the partial waterfall downstairs...

Very cosy family home stay. I had a private room for 2 nights - small room with no window, but A/C and fan as well, clean. I had a dorm for 1 night, no window, A/C, one shelf, well equipped. Enough bathrooms / toilets, always clean, paper available. Common areas really cosy, PC, books, sofas, chairs, dining area. Host is...

Great location, beautiful old building, clean rooms, and nice tea and peanut butter toast for breakfast! The owners were really friendly and recommended some good street food spots to us. We borrowed a couple of their Dutch style bicycles, which were in good condition, it was great cycling around the city looking out for all the street art. They also...

Our stay was majorly comfortable but there was always a little something to point out. For some reason the breakfast was really inconsistent. We stayed about 6 nights. While, the breakfast is just bread, peanut butter and jam. The first morning there were some apples. The rest of the days there was no fruit or one fine day some plums?...
