The staff here are lovely and helped us out when we had showed up to George Town two days earlier than we had planned with accommodation already reserved. We didn't end up losing any of our money due to our original booking being their sister hostel. The rooms were really clean as were the showers and common room.

Really well located in the heart of Pennang, walk distance to all the city's main attractions... Great balance between quality and price and very helpful staff... I highly recommend it and for sure I'll stay there again in my next visit.

Room was quite big, aircon was ok, but I have bedbugs on my bed I guess. The wooden floor is quite annoying and there is a lot of attraction on the night and it's very noisy. Honestly, I can't sleep really well. Breakfast was ok, it's just bread, tea/coffee and we need to wash the dirty plates by ourselves (any...

This is my second visit and so glad I chose to come back. Great location on Love Lane and a super clean place to stay. The manager is super friendly and remembered me from my last visit. Feels like home.

There are several reasons you must choose Old Penang Guesthouse - convenient location (a few-minute walk to Kimberley street where you find delicious food) - staff are helpful in various ways (advance taxi booking, advice on must-try local food) - most important of all (high quality yet inexpensive rooms!)

Great place to stop by during your days in Penang. This is an old house but it is very comfy, clean, with great people. The same road where the hostel is has many bars with music on live. Great location in Georgetown.

We loved Old Penang Guest house! As it was our first visit to George Town we looked for something fairly priced and centrally located and this certainly matches that criteria. It is walking distance from both ferry terminals (Ferry from the mainland and ferry to Langkawi) the AT bus to the airport goes along the street half a block away...
