For only 45RM a night I think it's the cheapest on Chulia street!? Simple but nice room with a big fan. I stayed in room 22 witch is a corner room in the back with windows in two directions so there's no noise from the street 👌 Highly recommended when traveling on a tight budget!

Even tho we didn't stay here, the downstairs cafe was very nice. Everyday we popped in for a fruit milkshake, & freshly squeezed juices. At 8myr & 5myr respectively they were very nice. Do try the fruit milkshake...VERY nice! Coffee is dark & strong too for only 1.50myr. Enjoyed coming here over our 15 nite stay in Georgetown

Loved this low key guesthouse, we opted for a fan room with shared bathroom. Had two large windows, spacious room with nice wooden furniture, ceiling fan worked great. A mosque is nearby so every morning we woke up to prayers, might annoy some but loved it. Stayed ten nights, 42rm per nite

If all you are looking for is a safe, inexpensive place to crash after a day/nite on the town, this is a good choice. Hang Chow, more of a backpacker spot than mainstream tourist hotel, is clean and economical, tho it is a bit Spartan. A ground floor fan room was quite adequate for our needs - two nites in...

I love this kind of hotel in Asia. For just 50 RMB per night, I had a large double bed, a big fan, a nice clean room with dark wooden flooring, a private shower and basin and a towel. OK, it's a little rough in places and the walls aren't the thickest but the hotel is in a great location,...

We were supposed to be there for a couple of days but we finally decided to extend our stay as the staff was very friendly, the room was quite big and not expensive at all. There's no breakfast but the location provides a lot of good options, especially some good Indian restaurants. Be aware however that there is Mosque just...

Really clean budget place (35 Rm per night / double room) Simple but big rooms (not wet), high ceilings Really nice people. Little misunderstanding by paying at the end of staying. Better to do check-in at the start of stay :-) Good position: in the midle between Comtar and old town

The owners and one staff are quite friendly and the place is clean. But, my first night in an AC room on the second floor resulted in an attack by bedbugs. I had bites all over and had two large bedbugs killed for proof to show the one staff member. I explained to her and one of the owners that...

We stayed in the Hang Chow for four nights. Good, clean hotel. We stayed in a fan room for 35 RM. The room was on the corner at the back, ensuring a nice air flow and good light. Beds are good and they provide towels. Only downside is that it is fairly noisy, even at night. The 50 RM AC...

“The small bus station is in front of you as you disembark from the ferry. Bus 201, 202 or 203 go up Chulia Street from the ferry (drop 1.40 RMB into the slot when you enter the bus). This hotel is at the top of Chulia Street, on the left hand side, perhaps 5-10 mins away on the bus.”

“My room on the 2nd floor was quieter as it was away from the street. Noticably noisier in a room next to the street on 3rd floor.”
