The place looks like abandoned high level place. The rooms are very big with high floors, also furnitures look like good quality but everything is downgraded. The staff is stressed also because have to menage many people from all around and they are fad up. Internet service is very bad quality and often you cannot have connection, if you ask...

It was my second time at the banana hotel in penang. I got the same service as the last time 3 years ago, but i had to pay 500thb extra (around 60 myr) for a private room. The breakfast served on arrival (as per formula of the visa run company) was exactly the same i had 3 years ago, it...

Im here right now and the place is not really nice. The rooms are old and not really clean, the wifi totally sucks and the food they serve is.. well, better go and grab some cheap street food in walking distance. However, the hotel is in a great location. Various bus lines stop just outside the building and there is...

We arrived just for one night to made a VISA RUN. We expected that the hotel will not be a luxury but not as much. We understand that the hotel is focused on tourists on 1 night, but it does not mean that the room should be as dirty. We were very tired after 12 hours of traveling in the...

I travel all over South Est asia, (I'm Thailand Rob) and this was my second VISA run from Thailand to Malaysia. This was my first stay at Banana but I have to say it was a pretty good place to stay for a few nights, minus a couple if issues. Staff is wonderful, a bit overworked in the mornings but...

Where could find peace and quiet in a hotel? Personally I had stayed some years back in this budget hotel but since Banana Hotel management took over. Easy access to nearby shops ..hawker stalls..best of all...All the watering holes for a couple of beers...fruit ..burger stalls. Rooms either ceiling fans or air con available. The nights would be loud as...

Great accommodations - clean - safe and close to a number of central locations. Very friendly staff - nice breakfast spread and definite value for money! This review is long overdue as we have stayed many times and love it. Will be back!

I stayed in this hotel for like 2 times and what I like about this hotel is the food during breakfast. the sausage is good, potatoes and all, I like everything! the room in the 2nd floor was superb, even though the bathroom is small but its okay. however, their family room is actually clean but it looks dirty because...

The room was nice and quiet, across the yard with a good shower and air condition, American satellite channels. The staff should go to charm school because they were not friendly at all and you could see that they looked down on you even though you couldn't understand what they were saying. The food was mediocre, it's better to walk...

I stayed on the second floor, right at the back. It was generally comfortable, but for the price I was paying (S$47.50 per night) I expected better. My electric kettle wasn't working, and I could not delay check out to 1pm. Also, there are mosquitoes even though all my windows were closed. There should be better pest control. I could...
