We loved everything about the resort. The huts were clean and lovely with little balconies. It was right on the edge of the jungle so the view was amazing. But you have to be aware of the monkeys. The bed was big and comfortable. The owners were super friendly and helpful with everything. Nipah Beach is not a nice and quiet place like we assumed but this resort definetly saved our trip. We slept better than in any other hotel on our 4 week trip through Malaysia.

First off this isn't a resort.

Secondly the following statements in the official description are inaccurate: restaurant/bar does not exist, so therefore there isn't any free breakfast. The reception is not 24hrs. The wifi in all public areas basically covers reception and possibly a few of the air-con rooms, but it doesn't cover the rear of the property where the fan rooms are located. The wifi did work well however.

That being said, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the owners are very helpful and friendly. Basic toiletries are provided and replenished when the room is cleaned.

Rates are negotiable, the longer you stay the less it is.

Location wise it is set well back away from the main road and beach which means it's more peaceful and it is still only a short walk to both.

Overall good value for the average cost in the area.

i booked well in advance for a price of £13 per night for 2 people having never stayed anywhere so cheap i was unsure what to expect we arrived to a warm welcome flawlessly easy check in you pay up front in cash you get your own little chalet with a small outside seating area spotlessly clean room very basic wotking shower very friendly and helpful staff and owners perfect location at the back of teluk nipah for the money i cant fault it just be aware that there is no kettle in the room there is 1 kettle in a structure away from the chalets that is shared between 8am and 9 pm next time i go i will just take a travel kettle otherwise had an excellent stay here and will definitely be rebookin sitting at night on your own little balcony/terrace i enjoyed as much as hotels i have spent a lot more money in i would say no good if you have children but for solo or couples excellent also rooms have outstanding air conditioning

I just been there last week for a short getaways. The place is a bit far from the main attraction beach but still you can walk to the beach. Its only 5-7 walking distance to the beach and dining places. But the owner is very friendly and helpful. That will make our life easier than ever. The owner name Saravanan is a cool and good guy. You can chat with him whenever he's free. And he will help you until your problem is settled. Frankly said he's an awesome guy! I think everyone that coming to have vacation should stay here. Its recommended 10/10. Not hesitation, but 100% satisfactions! 👍🏼

The people at the reception, who are also the owners, are very friendly and helpful. The chalet is rather empty, with just a double bed, aircond and bathroom with hot shower. So it's suitable if you just want a place to rest and sleep in at night. Location is good, just about 5 minutes walk to the beach and Malay stalls nearby. Or you can always walk for another 5 minutes further up for more food choices, like the mamak stall selling "pancakes", Nipah Deli which offer local food, and Daddy's cafe which offers western and local food, but it's a bit pricey and the food is not that nice.. It's kinda scary to walk back to the chalet at night though, as it's rather dark and you have to walk pass some tall grasses towards the mountain..

We happened to walk by on our way to the waterfall and had a little chat with the owner who asked us to eat at his place that evening. Being very disappointed with the food in Teluk Nipah so far, we had little to loose. The families mother treated us to some real authentic vegetarian Indian food (they will cook you fish, chicken or mutton as well) - you basically eat what the family is having that evening - served on a banana leaf chopped from the garden. Just come by in the morning and ask. The taste was incredible and the atmosphere with the friendly family around just lovely. Very reasonably priced as well (especially when you consider the waterfront prices). Love the owners approach to running a resort. It's refreshingly different to most places around.
Sadly we have to leave the island tomorrow and booked in the overpriced hotels near the beach. We would've loved to stay there as well!

We arrived at the jetty and got a pink taxi to PWBR - I think the cost was 15 rinngit. When we first checked in my initial reaction was "Oh God, I've booked the wrong hotel." I had read good reviews on Trip Advisor, but I had booked the hotel in a bit of a rush. Please be aware the rooms are VERY basic and it wasn't what I expected at all. They are small, with a bed & a bathroom which is more like a wet room as everything gets soaked when you shower. You have to request bed sheets from reception. It's also about a 15 minute walk to the nearest nice beach.

However, the air con is great & the room was clean. The price is reasonable, and the lady who runs the place is fantastic. Very friendly and helpful and able to do laundry on request.

Worth getting a moped to explore the island - PWBR can recommend where to get these from.

The reception area has a can of bug spray - worth spraying before you go out for dinner to avoid mossie bites in the night.

Someone has written a review saying there are 'nice views'... I think people must be writing reviews for a different hotel to be honest?! There are no views at all at this hotel.

If you are on a budget, I would recommend this hotel. The staff are lovely.

Situated in the quite part of the island and very close to nature, the beach and food stalls. Unlike many of the other hotels nearby, this resort has a lot of open space. Most other resorts nearby at the similar price point are very cluttered.

One of the best things about this hotel are the hosts. Always willing to help and giving suggestions on what you should do are where you should eat. They even pick you up from the jetty and send you back. Also do ask them for their tour, it is absolutely worth it. You see things that only locals see and it is amazing!
