The location was beautiful, our view was stunning! The pools were perfect for cooling off after a trip to the wet market and after our waterfall trek. The staff were kind and thoughtful & the food & private BBQ's were amazing. Would definitely recommend and go again!

We chose Emas, the kampong house with the amazing view. We loved the open air feel and the living area open to the elements. Though concerned about mosquitoes in fact it was fine, with none at night and it was cool! The only reason i did not give this a 5 star rating is because, with 4 of us at...

I feel in love with this place. Lovely close to nature. I have been sleeping in concrete jungle with aircond and was very skeptical when there is no aircond there. But trust me, you will even turn off the ceiling fan at night. But afternoon can be very warm. We started at Perling Air for 3 nights. The breakfast we...

We stayed at the Berembun House for 2 nights, upon arrival and taking in our surroundings, we pat ourselves on the back for getting the best house, with a big patio and direct pool access. Needless to say I have read through all the reviews before I booked The Dusun and now I shall contribute from our experience. 1. Service...

The owner of this place has turned the mundane mountains to a peaceful getaway. The idea of mosquitoes might irk you off at first but with good repellent, it will be a great stay no doubt. Each house was uniquely built and the open space area, Lanai ideal for yoga or even meeting for 12 pax. Smooth arrival and departure...

I stayed here for 5 days after a conference in KL. It was so peaceful and quiet, and I truly enjoyed not having internet. The infinity pools are gorgeous and so is the surrounding jungle. I decided not to bring my own food to cook and was glad I did so, because the food they provided was so delicious! They...

My husband and i truly enjoyed our 2 nights away in this lovely resort tucked away in Jelebu. We drove ourselves without any difficulties using Google Maps. However the gate to Perling was locked so we had to drive up the steep slope up the main entrance which was quite heart-stopping. Entrance of Perling is less steep. We stayed in...

I was planning for a retreat with beloved parent. I was happy to get this opportunity to stay in the green forest, Dusun. We enjoyed the beautiful view from Tembusu house. At night we also can hear all the nature forest sounds from the wind and the insects. Both my parent enjoyed the foods in Dusun as I have ordered...

I am really pleased that you and your parents enjoyed your stay. I know your parents especially requested Tembusu House, which is great. People who like Tembusu, love it. But for some people it is a bit too open and scary when they are used to locked up urban living. But it does give you the essence of living at...

Perhaps, after all these years, the place really needs some love and touch up. The taps and hose were almost falling of the sink. Owners must check on this, I am not sure if we were the only one who experience this. We stayed at Berembun, supposed to be the 'it' unit amongs the rest as it was the only...

We have replaced the tap at the Berembun sink - thank you for pointing this out to us. Berembun is our smallest chalet, but it has a large deck and is very popular. People who want a bit of extra space inside (in the rainy season!) should try one of the Perling units. Che Tah, who is in charge of...

1. We chose Perling Bukit house for stay, 2 nights, couple stay. 2. Getting there is very easy as you need to just follow google maps by entering the complete address given in their website. (The directions given in their website to travel from KL is not very clear though) 3. This place is surrounded by lush green forest and...

Thank you for this review. I know it will be useful to others to know what to expect in this unusual place. Perling is named after a bird, so maybe they were giving you especial chorus..

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Dusun is a small resort on a fruit orchard with views of the Berembun rainforest reserve. Set on a small hill, the Dusun rents out houses that are set apart from each other not only to offer peace and privacy, but also to catch the winds with traditional architecture and enjoy lovely views. Each house has a fully equipped kitchen for those who love to cook and a barbecue on an open deck for lingering dinners. Breakfast is provided while lunch and dinner can be catered if you prefer not to cook.We are just an hour south of Kuala Lumpur. KLIA or Kuala Lumpur International airport is in between us and Kuala Lumpur city so we're the perfect nature escape for those in transit who would prefer to give the city a miss. The Dusun honors sustainable practices in farming and building, which has created a beautiful and healthy environment. As the family enjoys a good relationship with the local community, the business only hires from the nearby kampungs and shops from small entrepreneurs or other interesting responsible businesses as much as possible. All activities that guests enjoy here were created to raise awareness of Malaysia’s beautiful natural heritage and support local traditions, communities and NGOs. ... more   less
