On my recent trip back to Malaysia, I was determined to find and stay at unique and interesting properties. The Dusun is very special and exceeded all my expectations. It's set in a jungle with views that allow you to forget the all the craziness that's going on in the world right now. The food was delicious, the pools were...

We stayed here in April. We were a party of 7 with two dogs. We stayed at Berembun and Sora. Berembun is really small - it is literally a double room with en suite and a large terrace and outside kitchen. It is very quaint though and has direct access to the pool. Sora is big and lovely. The master...

The Dusun was a wonderful, tranquil retreat located in the Malaysian rainforest, c1 hour outside of KL. We visited for one night with friends from KL and their 2 young kids. The staff were very accommodating for the littluns and BBQ food and breakfast excellent. Cabins well serviced with mosquito buzzers and/or nets. Good infinity pools with views into the...

Loved this place, stayed for one night with my partner and went on the jungle trek in the morning. We went with some friends who had a car so I'm not sure how easy it would be find without. Food was great, the BBQ in the evening was a lovely mix of vegetables, chicken and fish. The breakfast was also...

Booked this wonderful place for my small family - myself, hubby, our 2 sons (1 and 5 yrs old) and our helper on an impulse as we wanted a quick and relaxing vacation during Chinese New Year. The Dusun was the perfect getaway choice as it was only an hour's drive from KL and it provided good quality, family-time. The...

It is the most beautiful place I've ever been to! We stayed at the Tembusu house which was the best choice, I think. The bedroom is not closed so we can say that we slept in open air. The bed had a mosquito net so we were protected. The jungle trek was beautiful. Mr. Ah Kau is an amazing person....

The location was beautiful, our view was stunning! The pools were perfect for cooling off after a trip to the wet market and after our waterfall trek. The staff were kind and thoughtful & the food & private BBQ's were amazing. Would definitely recommend and go again!

We chose Emas, the kampong house with the amazing view. We loved the open air feel and the living area open to the elements. Though concerned about mosquitoes in fact it was fine, with none at night and it was cool! The only reason i did not give this a 5 star rating is because, with 4 of us at...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Dusun is a small resort on a fruit orchard with views of the Berembun rainforest reserve. Set on a small hill, the Dusun rents out houses that are set apart from each other not only to offer peace and privacy, but also to catch the winds with traditional architecture and enjoy lovely views. Each house has a fully equipped kitchen for those who love to cook and a barbecue on an open deck for lingering dinners. Breakfast is provided while lunch and dinner can be catered if you prefer not to cook.We are just an hour south of Kuala Lumpur. KLIA or Kuala Lumpur International airport is in between us and Kuala Lumpur city so we're the perfect nature escape for those in transit who would prefer to give the city a miss. The Dusun honors sustainable practices in farming and building, which has created a beautiful and healthy environment. As the family enjoys a good relationship with the local community, the business only hires from the nearby kampungs and shops from small entrepreneurs or other interesting responsible businesses as much as possible. All activities that guests enjoy here were created to raise awareness of Malaysia’s beautiful natural heritage and support local traditions, communities and NGOs. ... more   less
