My husband and I first time saw this hotel in one of catalogues last year when we were staying at St Regis Bali. When time came to choose our winter holidays we again checked up this property and without doubts decided to make reservation and enjoy signature service of st Regis.
We were well assisted with booking by hotel’s reservation office and pleased that we could make payment in euros and not local currency.
Transfer was booked with concierge department and at requested date and time our car was waiting for us at the airport. The journey from the airport was smooth and took only 20 minutes. There was WiFi access in the car what is super comfortable.
We were assisted with check in process by a young sweet trainee, whom was hard to understand. she didn’t have enough knowledge about resort and services, each single step she was asking. Non of us were born as professional, but maybe bit more training needed before to start this duty alone.
We were assisted to the room by our butler who provided detailed information about their signature services and room facilities. The room is very spacious and bright, well designed. When we just stepped to bedroom first what I saw it’s huge spots on the small sofa front of the bed, when I wanted to go to balcony and opened the curtains, first i saw dirty window and only after this magnificent view from the room. I’ve shared this issues with reception. While we were out for lunch, the window was cleaned and the sofa was replaced with small pouf. But another window is still dirty and seems nobody cleaned it for last 4 - 6 months, you may see dusty rain spots on it...we didn’t say anything about that...just gave up! Also, small sofa was returned but with the same spots. I already don’t want to spent precious time of our holidays for that.
When we came to the beach we sadly understood that there is no beach boy who is going to assist us with towels or prepare sun beds. You need to take towels by your own and also share room number with person who is responsible for towel station. Seriously?! In 5 stars luxury resort? Near by our place was a plastic used bottle of water, no one from staff bother themselves to collect that, I’ve made this instead of them. The beach bar menu as for me was boring, but pizza was delicious.
The spa area doesn’t have sauna, steam bath, jacuzzi or pool. Only for massage. First time i see something like that.
In general we still have nice holidays, but can’t say that this is excellent as other St Regis hotels&resorts.

First i want to highlight that the hotel itself is a stunning! Clean, nice smelling wherever you go, staff is super friendly and attentive! Always smiling, helping, serving. Whenever i dropped down my empty glas at the beach, one of the waiters came and refilled my water, brought cold towels, fruit sticks etc. Amazing! That’s what is St. Regis feeling.
Why I’m cutting of 1 star? One reason is not really the fault of anyone but the nature. Yes the low tide makes it impossible to use the sea until afternoon. Which was not a huge problem but if you want to have a 5 star beach resort, you should have a usable beach and sea the whole day.
The second thing, and here improvement is possible, is the breakfast. Quality and set up is perfect BUT the variety in the hot food and savoury area is missing.
The soup was always the same, dumplings, some little dishes like baked tomatoes, beans or potatoes... Basically we had good quality but always the same things. Which I’m not used from the chain and gets boring after a few days.
Comparing JW Mariott buffet I have to admit they are much better. Changing salads daily, hot curries, soups, stir fry, even sashimi or sushi.
But again, this didn’t spoil my holiday 😊
All in one it was great and the staff made me forget about these two minor things with their friendliness.

My husband and I chose St Regis in Langkawi for our honeymoon due to a luxury escapes package we found online. This hotel, the service and the staff far exceeded our expectations!

What impressed me the most about this venue was the small little bespoke touches. Each day we would come back to a small gift left in our room (some sweet of the day), then there was the daily champagne ceremony, the cultural performances and my favourite, the staff's warm welcome with their hand on their heart.

While I'm on the topic of staff I must mention that the service here was phenomenal! The staff were always so sweet, accommodating and warm. From the moment our butler met us and showed us around the property we felt this. Our special mention must go to the staff at Kayu Puti, in particular Kareemi (excuse the spelling) who was so sweet and helpful and shared a lot about his culture, city and family. I really love those special touches.

I can honestly say that this is the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in and it's the first place I've stayed in where the real thing was nicer than the photos. The food in all the restaurants was excellent and the buffet breakfast is insane! All you can drink champagne is the best! In contrast, we went to the neighbouring property 'The Westin' and left after 15 minutes of not being served in one of their restaurants.

The photos I have included are mostly screenshots from a video but give a bit of an idea. I just wanted to thank the staff immensely for our stay and for making our honeymoon incredibly memorable.

This review is long overdue. We stayed at this hotel as a family in June 2019 for 4 nights. We booked the pool suite. The hotel looks very nice. The common areas are designed well and aesthetically pleasing. The room was spacious enough for a family of four (two small children). I liked that our room was close to the play area and the beach. It made it easier for us to get to and from the room with our little ones. It was a little further away from the restaurants but this was not a problem for us.

The main restaurant is beautifully designed and spacious. We had breakfast at the main restaurant and they had a good spread for breakfast. On our last day, there was a large group (from a wedding the previous day) at the hotel and service really suffered. It was hard to even get our drink orders through and wait time to receive our food & drinks was long.

Both my husband and I used the spa (facials & massage) and we enjoyed our treatments. The spa felt clean and well maintained and they had some discounts if you made reservations at off peak hours. My massage therapist (Lina/Lena?) was excellent. The only problem I had with the spa area was that the steam room was not easily accessible. The steam room is part of a treatment room and you had to specifically book that treatment room (a couples treatment room which was not always available) to use the steam room. For a luxury beach resort that is relatively new & with no shortage of space, this seemed like a huge design fail at the spa.

My major gripe is with the overall maintenance of our room specifically our private pool area. Considering the amount we were paying (over $600/night), the pool area was never cleaned during the duration of our stay. There was mold (? see pics) on the privacy curtains surrounding the pool area and snails around the pool and water. Also leaves just collected in the pool over the four days and it felt grimy by Day 3/4.

Me and my friend stayed here in December 2018 for 1 night as a short break as medical students. It was one of the best hotels I've stayed in with regards to the service and attentiveness of the staff. Upon arrival we were served welcome drinks and attended to immediately and to our delight we were upgraded from the Andaman Sea room to the St.Regis Suite. The room was beautiful and we were well taken care of by our butler who provided us with all our needs. Food at Pantai Grill was delicious, we ordered wagyu steaks and some freshly grilled seafood. The highlight was Kayu Puti at sunset and their mindblowing dessert. Definitely coming back again for a longer stay!

This is our 2nd trip to St.Regis Langkawi, we had a small hick ups during our 1st trip and it was really forgivable , it is forgivable only because of the excellent leadership by Mr.Shahrul whom handle it super well in our opinion and he has a way to calm people down and a very solution minded person, he attends to our needs personally and he has a very good habbit to follow up and ask for feedback.

Leading by example is what Mr.Shahrul does and this is also seen in our 2nd trip to St.Regis Langkawi recently where our Butler Mr.Farhan Noor attended to all our needs and he has been a very good and knowledgeable companion. this is really an excellent service top down and i admire the culture in St.Regis where the people is clearly the asset.

i am recommending all friends families to visit St.Regis for this truly excellent experience where they take care of the very details from sanitizing, room cleanliness, safety etc. Do feel safe even during this pendemic season as the Hotel truly takes thier precautions measure seriously. I feel that in St. Regis Langkawi, they put people first and business 2nd. Great Hotel and great Management team.

Again my Big Thank you to Mr.Shahrul and Mr.Farhan noor for making our stay a memorable one. thank you.

Shahriman

It's our first time at St Regis. Being part of the Marriot group, we had high expectations for the hotel. We were impressed at the early check-ins that was made possible by the team. Staff were friendly andhelpful.

However, the disappointment was it came the room. We booked the room with a pool cabana. Few things that really irked were:
1. There was hair left in the bathtub when we wanted to use it. We ended up washing it ourselves again before using.
2. There were no room slippers available which is suppose to be the most basic thing to have.
3. There was patches of brown stains at the neck area of our robe. Not sure if it it's a burnt mark or something else but either way, it wasn't a nice thing to see even if it was supposedly clean.
4. I found someones cut nail at the sink area which makes me thing that the housekeeping really did a bad job at keeping the room properly cleaned out.
5. Finally, the pool had sand residue in the pool at the Jacuzzi area which was obviously left by the previous guests.

Other than the 5 things above, everything else was great. Butler service was good and we definitely had a good time overall but just had higher expectations to the room's housekeeping.

This is a good hotel. Rooms are well appointed, small private pool, excellent bathroom, comfortable bed all expected amenities with free Wi-Fi, Bose sound system and two TV screens. It exceeds my personal fluffy towel, effective shower and space around the bed criteria, and includes a secluded sun pathing patio with the jacuzzi style pool. It was VERY quiet for the six nights we stayed ...

Covid-19 rather demands domestic trips and we are lucky to live in Malaysia with all that it has to offer, Our experience at St Regis was wonderful. We booked a Penthouse Suite and we were so happy with size, quality and amenities. St Regis offers a butler service (our experience was a different person every day) that helps with many small matters and offers tea and coffee throughout the day. The living area and the dining area were the perfect size and the outdoor balcony area was huge! And came with a great view. The hotel grounds are well thought out with new angles and views from different spots. I am guessing the location was selected with the sunsets in mind because they were insane! All food outlets were good but the Pantai Grill was super convenient and offered good food and drinks, just what was needed for the beach. The gem of the restaurants was Kayu Puti which offers amazing food with a wide variety and a commitment to using a great deal of local food. The chef du cuisine (Chef Yusof) is really talented and very dedicated to his work, turning out one great dining experience after another. The decor is very interesting with different areas with different vibes. Attached to it is a wonderful space overlooking the bay where truly worthwhile cocktails and G&Ts are offered starting from 6PM. The aforementioned sunset is the real star of this location, the view from the bar is to die for. For me St Regis is a high end brand and it delivers a high end experience in every way.

We stayed at the st Regis for9. Nights early February. The resort itself is stunning with great views to the outlying islands. We stayed in a panoramic suite which was fantastic huge with lovely wrap around terraces affording views of both the beach and surrounding forest. Breakfast was sensational and sufficient for us not to need lunch. Eating outlets felt a bit limited with either French style brasserie l orangery or fine dining kayaputi. You are also able to sign for meals at the sister hotel next door (Westin) which gives more options. They did a great beach barbecue once a week. As others have mentioned the sea is not suitable for swimming. One suggestion I would make would be to offer a shuttle to a nearby beach and to add another pool. Pool was fine as hotel was at a very low occupancy due to the coronovirus but when running at full capacity could be problematic. Staff couldn’t do enough to help and the hotel itself is simply stunning. Would definitely return if the price is right

It's too much time in St. Regis Langkawi. There is no condition to swim in that beach, low tide is just mud and muddy water, even high tide the water is not convenient to float on it, you have to have feet on mud and muddy terrain. You should look for somewhere else, for what you pretend to pay for St. Regis there is plenty of choices. Better services and caring, better beaches and water and better rooms. Tanjung Rhu area the beaches is nice, the surrounding is calm, with white sand beaches and calm water. Or if you like more touristic area, more crowdy and more life, you could consider Pantai Cenang area. Enjoy your stay, live exquisite, never in St. Regis.
