Serene and peaceful. But try to get a room on the upper levels, because if you are on the lower levels, you can hear every foot steps from your upper neighbours. Great place at the pool to sun tan and casual bird watching. Spotted many variety of birds. Service is good and courteous. Do beware if you are allergic to...

Went for a long weekend with my sister and had a lovely stay despite the rainy weather. The houses have an authentic feel. The team was very nice and helpful and arranged a scooter rental for our stay upon arrival with no notice. We also visited the dogs and cats orphanage next door. The location is a bit off which...

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. I think it is a really special place, ideal to relax in. We were in 'Colonial 4' which is the upper floor of a large old house (I believe is originally from Penang). It has so much character. I fell love with it straight away and usually I'm not easy pleased....

If you are coming to Langkawi then this is probably one of the places you should consider staying. It has several USP's and the most obvious is the different and unique accommodation on offer. Each 'house' has been taken and rebuilt from somewhere in Malaysia - so far so interesting. The inside of our house was very well done (Plantation...

I have stayed with my family here at the Tempel Tree Resort for 6 nights. All in all we had a good experience but I have to rate this place just with 3 stars because of a few but major negative points which where not handles well from the resort staff. I will start with the pros. The resort is...

This alternative restful paradise is not to be missed. It incorporates an animal sanctuary with delightful original Malay/Chinese accommodation. Staff are all exceptionally friendly and the atmosphere calming and relaxing. Not too far from the beach but far enough to escape to peace and quiet . Food really good.

I love the concept at Temple Tree and Bon Ton. Don't expect a modern hotel with all the gadgets and trappings. Accept the warped weathered boards of the old reconstructed buildings, that the windows may not be easy to open & close and that wifi may be wonky. Enjoy the serene atmosphere surrounded by greenery, the lovely concrete base lap...

-staff at Temple Tree and Bon ton are fantastic- even though they seemed short-staffed at times (e.g. doing front desk, manning the bar, booking travel etc.), they were always very pleasant and helpful. -very high quality food at the Han at Bon Ton. -rooms overpriced for what they offer -mediocre breakfast -pool isn't very toddler friendly and the whole area...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Though classified as B&B/Inn, Temple Tree is actually more of a boutique resort of many cultures, an eclectic mix of heritage chic...Antique buildings of Chinese, Malay, Indian and Eurasian origin, make up this 8 villa hotel, with 8 rooms & 6 suites now open. Each building has, over its 70-110 year old history, created its own heart and soul. Hopefully we have given due respect to each of these family homes with the restoration process. These houses are now the continuing the story of people who live in them, our guests. ... more   less
