We checked in yesterday and leaving tonorrow. The hotel is sucks. It's rundown with no upkeep and maintenance. The room is small and smelly. The air con is not cool. Furthermore the house keeping is stop at 12am. The staff are not friendly at all.

The hotel is just basic with minimum facilities but what hit me was that the staff at the breakfast cafe who made a comment at me as if I cheated to get the second day free breakfast because of its own staff doing for collecting the 2 days coupon the day before. I hope the hotel should educate the staff...

We stayed at Lanai hotel back in July 2008 and enjoyed its beach very much! It is very calm due to the protection of a small island in the front, and deep enough to swim without the need to go far from the shore. The sand on the beach was clean, with plenty of beds. Staff was very attentive and...

This is worth the money when you consider what you pay for, decent size comfortable rooms, a huge and very pretty pool area, practically its own private area of a paradisiacal beach, wonderful at sunset. The restaurant on the beach is basic, wholesome food, some malay influennce and american style steak/ salad dishes etc, but well worth watching the sunset...

Pros We were given a room on the 3rd floor, but being in my 7th month of pregnancy, I requested a ground floor room and got one without too much fuss. Quieter end of a decent beach, with plenty of loungers. Nice enough pool, with lots of loungers as well. Spacious room with good firm mattress and extra pillows in...

It's nothing fancy and it's slightly frayed around the edges, but the Lanai has a lovely pool and efficient aircon, plus very reasonably priced cocktails. That's three boxes ticked. Our first room had a problem but we were moved without any fuss and all up found staff to be efficient and friendly. There's plenty of parking, and a hire car...

I just returned from my holiday at the Lanai, and have to tell you, as a local, you can do so much better, in terms of accomodation in Langkawi. The rooms are like a backpackers inn and very dusty, the door is a hazard to young children as it slams shut and could get their tiny little fingers crushed (no...

Let me say from the outset, I am over fifty and I like a little bit of adventure, culture and learning in my Asian adventures but I also love coming back to my resort for its top rate facilities and live the good life for a little while. If this is similar to you DO NOT stay at the Lanai...
