I have been visiting Malaysia on an annual basis since 1983 and began to spend a night in Johor in the early 1990s. The Hotel JB is quite OK for a night (I am not poor, but there is no reason to spend much more money at a hi-rise hotel for a quick overnight stay) since I hit the road...

Booked hotel last minute from hotel.com for an overnight stay.. sgd $44 = RM 134 Worst hotel I've ever stayed. Didn't even stay throughout the night. Checked out a 2 hours later. Worst than a budget hotel. Will never ever stay here even for a night or perhaps few hours..

Other places at double the price are now far better. There are lots at the next price bracket but many are rubbish. I moved to CIQ just...

How can you miss this clean and decent budget hotel which is so close to Malaysia customs, night market food, City Square and Singapore? Security is somehow surprisingly strict at the basement. You can sleep well at night knowing that no one will knock on your door uninvited. Even without air-con, fan is sufficiently cooling in the humid weather. Place...

Hotel was nice enough, JB is not worth stopping in, head straight up to Melaka or KL they are only a few hours away. JB Hotel was clean, poeple were friendly enough. Shared toilets were OK and the showers were OK too. There isnt a great deal to see or do in the surrounding area and JB has got some...
