Our first tent experience and we found it very confortable. Stayed in November so no mosquito nets necessary. The food in the resturant was good but not excoellent. Service on pathetic other hand was very good in all parts of the resort. Lots of animals to be found in the park for viewing am or pm. Also excellent area for... More

We visited Ashnil Samburu during the visit of family to Kenya. Having been residents in Kenya for many years, we find Samburu to be the best national park to take visitors to. It is accessible as a "self drive" destination from Nairobi passing through a variety of eco-systems along the way. Samburu has unique animals and lots of "standard" animals... More

We had 2 Luxury tents. All the tents are riverside facing. We could see elephants, gazelles, and impalas right across the river bank. Twice we had a elephant walk right up to the electric fence and graze around for 15 minutes. Dont miss the Nature Walk (complimentary) where a local guide and a forest ranger take you on a forest... I got thrilled by the classy professional service provided by the staff, always with a smile. The meals are yummy and i kept craving for more! Nestled in the middle of buffalo springs along the ewaso nyiro, game viewing is at its best!

Lovely staff, good spread of food, and nice tents however very hot. They turn the generators off between 4-6 and midnight - 5am, which really isn't ideal as it's extremely hot there. Would reconsider going because of heat

Our daughter had been on a safari the previous year and we had heard her stories about “glamping”, glamorous camping. The Ashnil Samburu Camp was everything we had heard and more. The “tents” are very sturdy and built on permanent foundations with hardwood floors. They are well kept with running hot water (during specific times of the daya) and full... More

Ashnil Samburu Camp is a truly awesome place to stay for a few days of adventurous game drives in Buffalo Springs and Samburu National Reserves. Tents are beautiful and spacious, each appointed with an elegant bathroom and a private terrace. Great location overlooking Ewaso Ngiro River where wildlife is wandering right outside. The entire staff is very friendly, helpful and... More

Awesome place, you wake up in the morning with the sound of the savannah, then you get out to your bungalow's private terrace and you say hi to an elephant that is eating 10 meters from you, behind the fence. It's a paradise of colors, scents, sounds, emotions... In august there were not a lot of people so it was... More

Beautiful place. Accommodations are wonderful, the perfect definition of "glamping." Each tent is beautifully appointed with hardwood floors and the bathrooms are elegant. Beautiful dining area overlooking the river. Staff is warm and accommodating. Game drives are wonderful. Recommended without hesitation.

Ashnil is located in the heart of Buffelo Springs. Great location, good food and great staff. Rooms are great and hospitality is professional. If I ever head back to Samburu would stay here again. Kenneth the elephant will greet you every day!

Ashnil Samburu Camp sits in Buffalo Springs Game Reserve which takes its name from an oasis of crystal clear water at the Western end of the reserve. It is separated from samburu National Reserve by Ewaso Nyiro River and is less hilly and dense yet equallly very attractive.
