The rooms are spacious . The hotel staff is very wellcomed and friendly with good english and some of them speak Turkish fluently. Hotel is just 20 minutes walking distance to some parks and Zenkov cathedral. The breakfast is not so rich but it is ok. The Tv in my room was old fashioned. Quest Ameneties are fine. Minibar without... More

The positive side of this hotel is the spacious rooms, the location, and other smaller courtesies like a safe-box in the room, a well-working free wi-fi system, helpful reception, and other compliments like a bathroom basket including a shaving and dental kit, some soap, a comb, etc. In my room there was also a hairdryer, some Kleenex and a minibar.... we stayed in superior suit. Room is big with big bathroom and bath. In the heart of the city. Overall experience was good. Despite big room and comfortable bed interior seemed old and in need of refreshing. Balcony was so small I was just laughing went I was checking it out. If for few days thanks to good location it... They lost our booking each time we came despite reminders and confirmed bookings. So we got the left over rooms with no Aircon and/or no mini-bar refrigerator. The service desk wanted to blame us for late arrival but we had indicated arrival time clearly. Otherwise rooms clean and comfortable. Good central location and reasonable price.

There is no hot water available and to buy it on the restorant cost 900TT. The breakfast are included small tomato, have cucumber, and some salami. Not something that can satisfy the hanger. The room are clean and the location is exelent.

Almost perfectly located in a tree lined avenue in downtown Almaty this property manages to preserve Soviet styled luxury. From the suspicious rough security men at the entrance, the cold but dependable receptionists, the thick carpeted hallways and the large comfortable rooms. This was once a prime Soviet luxury hotel but is largely forgotten these days. But the current room... More

The rooms are large and comfortable (not too luxurious though). There is free wifi in all the rooms, the breakfast is nothing great but enough to get you going till lunch. Was there for four days and the staff was helpful with my queries. Most major sights/restaurants in Almaty are at a comfortable walking distance

Not the cleanest hotel. The rooms facing the street are very noisy and you cannot sleep from noise. Rooms and firnuture are very old. No complimentary water in the room. Bathròom is small. The reason why I have stayed was that rooms were paid in advance.

The rooms were very large, although the bathrooms were a bit cramped. Great central location in walking distance to most areas. Quiet if you face the 'park' (back). Extremely helpful staff that helped us arranged tour service, recommended restaurants and provided lots of maps/guide books. Prices are great for what you get!

This hotel is in an excellent location and a great value. The hotel is older, but don't let that keep you away because they are clean and spacious. The staff is very friendly and the beds are comfortable. Our bathroom had a jetted tub and was spacious even by Western standards.
