Had a pleasant stay. Richmond Hotels offers that bit of western comfort in a Japanese environment hence why they have the name "Richmond". Breakfast are always good although they seem to be franchised out to the people who run the dining area so no two Richmond breakfasts are same. Japanese and western foods. Handy if you are getting tired of...

I only speak a little Japanese and everyone who helped me were patient and earnest. Upon arrival I was offered a basket of amenities to select from - amenities that included collagen face masks and toe separators. The bathroom in my room had a scrubber, toothbrush and toothpaste, razor, shaving cream, folding hairbrush, black q-tips, all in cute little plastic...

Stayed three nights. Hotel close to JR Station. Staffs offered excellent service. Room is bigger than most business hotel rooms. Lobby is modern and relaxing. few minutes walk to high end department store Seibu. The fresh food market also not far from the hotel. Walking distance from station and first half under a covered arcade. Good firm bed and plenty of power outlets. Bathroom a bit of a squeeze though. Reception on ground/first floor and payment upon check-in via automated machines that accept cash or credit card. Japanese buffet breakfast also on this floor and reasonable at 1100 Yen if you haven't booked room...

My family stayed here just 1 night, we have the twin room. The lobby is neat and modern, such as the room payment was done via an ATM look alike machine. The room is clean and large enough to live comfortably, it comes with multiple power adaptor for iPad or smartphone devices. The hotel has self-laundry, you can even use...

Having suddenly found ourselves without accommodation as planned in Akita the staff at JR office at Akita rail station made a couple of phone calls and got us a late 2 night stay at the Richmond Hotel, which was about 4 minutes walk from the station. We had used the Richmond chain previously when in Japan so we had no...

I stayed in this hotel for one night and liked it very much. Very convenient location, lose to the train station, staff are very good, efficient and willing to help and the rooms are a little more spacious, compared to Japanese hotels in general. ( Not sure about all the rooms, but the room I got was really spacious :)...

The Richmond is immaculate (extremely clean) and a comfortable hotel newer hotel. However, it was a bit small for me. The next time I will consider buying the larger room since I was staying for 1 week and had a lot of baggage. If you are happy with a small room with a king sized bed then go for room...

Having stayed in many Akita hotels over the years we found this to be an excellent hotel, close to JR rail station. Good size rooms for a business hotel in Japan, excellent Japanese breakfast buffet, with also a nod to Western tastes with eggs, scrambled or boiled and sausages etc. The bedroom had good hard mattresses and the rooms seemed...
