"guest house wakabaya" is a Japanese style guest house opened in 2014 summer. It's located just 5 minutes walk from Hanazono station. You can choose a mixed dormitory or three private rooms. The bed in dormitory has an outlet, small light, security box and curtain each. The private room is traditional with tatami, shoji an old fittings. Bathroom, kitchen and living room is common use.

I enjoyed staying at wakabaya. The staff is, polite, nice, helpful, knows well the area, and speaks several languages.The house is clean. The equipments are well maintained, they look new.The beds are futon but confortable.

The Wakabaya family are very well travelled and this shows in their guest house which has everything independent travellers need. The double room was small (usual for Japan) but very well designed with space for luggage, hangers for clothes etc. Wakabaya san speaks excellent English...More
