We have stayed in Mitsui Garden Hotel in Nagoya so we thought this one in Kumamoto would be similar. We are wrong. The hotel is located right in the middle of two tram stations so unless you are taking a taxi you need to walk for a brief distance. The Karashimacho station seems to be more convenient where a covered...

The location was really goot. The hotel is close with downtown. But the room was a bit small and I did not know that paying parking bill is not added in the invoice. Except this two things, other parts was really good.

Stayed for 1 night arriving in the evening after taking the ferry from Shimabara. Our car was too large for the hotel parking system (one of those lift ones) however was no problem. A hotel attendant took us to a partner parking lot less than 50 m away - and took our luggage back tot he hotel. Payment was also...

This hotel is neither horrible nor is it good. Single rooms are very small but double rooms are expensive when paying the rack rate. We paid $240.per night even though online prices are less expensive ( they had us down for one person). The room is a basic hotel room. No views. If you need English t.v. or for that...

Hotel is a convenient short walk away from the Shimotori shopping arcade. Rooms are in good condition and staff are friendly and helpful. Staff manning the parking were very helpful and provided much assistance.

Our Kyushu family trip third stop at this hotel, we only spent one night. Hotel location was good and accessible to Kumamoto castle, Suizen-ji Jōju-en, Kumamon office(for kids) via city tram. We love Kumamon deco in the lobby which adorable and loving. Front desk staff were able to communicate in English, willing to help and answer any questions and keep...

We stayed one night during the sakura season, since most of the hotels in the area were sold out during this peak season, and the Mitsui Garden Hotel Kumamoto only have smoking rooms left so we went for it anyways, which turned out to be quite a disaster.. The odor was SOOOOOOO strong that we couldn’t sleep all night. We...

Wifi not too working in room . I can only connect to one device at a certain corner. The room is small but sufficient for a short one night stay. Very typical Japanese hotel. Breakfast are traditional Kumamoto cuisine. Interesting. Carpark is 1100 yen per night. Unlimited in and out allowed.

We spent one night in this hotel . It was walking distance from the castle ( the reason we had come to Kumamoto ) and the arcades for Restaurants in the evening. We had a twin room which was spacious and two almost double beds in it. No view and it is on a main road fine for one night.

This hotel looked good on the outside but we found our semi double room too small. We hardly enough space to move once we laid out our luggage. The rooms of the two hotels we booked in Fukuoka were bigger and cheaper. The only good thing we can rave about is the location since it was accessible to a few...
