First, the owner is really nice. I arrived quite late at around 11pm and he waited to let me checkin. According to my experience it's not common in Japan for hostels. Second, the hostel is in walking distance to the subway station Third, the dorm is nice and clean. But as I mentioned in the header, there's are things to...

We stayed one night in Nara and this charming little homestay was perfect: good location within walking distance from all major sightseeing spots and restaurants, good price, and very very comfortable beds (we stayed in a separate private room).

This guest house offer you a quick and simple Japanese home stay. It's definitely not the best but acceptable in my humble opinion. The host was friendly and speak very little English. The company of 4 of us had the 4-bed small private room and I had good sleep. Well air-conditioned and clean. the only downside was the 1-shower room...

Takama was spacious, clean (albeit homely), the beds were comfortable, well air conditioned, quiet but sociable. Brilliant location, i didnt plan ahead and needed accommodation after all day with the deer and temples. Was very pleasantly surprised to find it 10 minutes walk from the park. Very welcoming owner. All wrapped up by an excellent price for the room!

The guest house is clean but too cluttered I'm not sure if it's the owners stuff or what past guest's have left behind, if the place can be cluttered then getting bigger and practical lockers maybe possible. Plus the side bars on the beds are not required, there usually for infants. The guest house was in a good location for...

good stay, airconditioning, location ok, friendly owner. price is also very reasonable. traditional Japanese futon beds and shared facilities. It's a little bit noisy, but we slept well. location is good: you can walk to every sight in Nara.

Awesome. This place was just the best place we've been in Japan. The guy who run the hostel is really nice and friendly. Incredibly polite. And the room... Well, the room was perfect. Exactly what you expect from a "japanese style room". In a really good position, only 5 min by walk from the kintsetsu station and 10 from nara...

The host was very friendly and polite to the guests. He helped me to take the luggage up to the second floor and gave me information about the area before even collecting my money! He told me where to get cheap stuffs and how to go to the famous spot around. The rooms and common places were very clean and...

This hostel is in a good location near to the station. The dorms looked quite compact and there is only one shower for all the rooms, which may mean waiting. The main drawback for this hostel is there is clutter everywhere. To get out i had to step out over someones suitcase, brush past loads of clothes hanging up. There...
