Super Hotel Lohas JR Nara-eki just located beside JR Nara Station. We stayed for two nights on February 2019. There are nice hot spring in the hotel, which open from 3:00 pm to 9:30 pm. So it is the most comfortable thing to enjoy the hot spring after hiking in Nara, especially

The location is really great for this hotel, it's basically in the same building as the train station... which is walkable to the main sights in Nara, so that's great. If you are arriving from train and really don't have a reason to be in your room much, then I could see this

Apart from the position which is hard to beat, this hotel had a delightful vibe, with charming staff who were thoughtful and kind. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, the laundry worked well and was of modest cost, and the room, albeit small, was adequate. All told, it

I have travelled to Nara three times and always stay here. The location is fabulous for exploring Nara and for using the train to explore the area. The breakfast is very good with Western and Japanese options. The onsen is such a great way to end each day of travel. The rooms

Just stayed in this hotel around last October. There are two major bike rental houses, one is much farther, around 10-15 mins walk from JR Nara (Lohas). Bicycle rental fee is daily basis, 1200 yen for electrical type, 700 yen for multi-speed (w/ gear shift) one, 500 yen for normal one. Try search for "nana-rent-a-cycle" in Google as link can't be posted here. Another is much closer, around 3-4 mins walk. But there is no website available. It's right behind Lohas, which located in an alley. You can confirm with the hotel concierge for further info. Hope that helps

actually my son (21) stayed in a room like this (he is no smoker also) and he has not complained about the conditions - of course it feels a little bit the smoke but was not a big problem.

It's worthwhile to book a room for 3 as the price of hot spring for non hotel guests is already half of the room rate. Moreover, all 3 of you can enjoy a complimentary b'fast.

Currently we are traveling in Japan or we would have answered your question sooner. We were unwilling to leave our luggage at the hotel after checking out before our next train because the hotel told us they could not guarantee the security of left luggage. We saw many suitcases in the lobby hall from tour groups when we checked-in and no one seemed to be keeping any watch over them. The hotel is something of a "factory hotel," with many many tourists from every part of the world flooding through the public lobby. I think, as others have suggested, that you need to ask them directly whether they will store securely your left luggage. We were not impressed with the lack of security for suitcases left in the lobby, and there seemed to be no other place to store luggage than along the walls of the lobby and the corridor leading to the dining area.
