I went to Niko by JR line to Niko station which was about 15 minute walk to the hotel. It’s nearer if you go by the Tobu train to Tobu station with less than 5 minute The room was bigger size if compare with usual Japanese hotel room. There was the microwave Owen in the room so you have alternative...

To be honest, we were about to cancel our trip to Nikko as everywhere else was sold out and the recent reviews for this place sound terrifying. I am glad we didn't! We had booked the double en suite and instead were given the triple, which turned out to be a regular Japanese studio apartment with kitchenette and balcony (minus...

This hotel is literally a stone's throw away from the Tobu Nikko train terminal and is diagonally opposite the bus stop from where one can find convenient buses to cover practically all points of popular interest in the Nikko region. There's a huge supermarket near the backside of the hotel (from where we bought some finger food for the night),...

This motel has serious bedbugs problem. After staying for only one night, got serious bugs bites problem that last for weeks. First, when we checked in, the owner (a non Japanese lady) could not find our booking even we offered to give her our appointment name. She insisted to search by name and turned out their record showed a different...

It is easy to find being just across the Tobu Nikko Station. But at the reception the lady kept asking for my name in katakana, instead of my reservation reference number like any other place that I have booked online with in Japan. She took ages to find my reservation because I wrote my name in katakana wrongly and she...

The hotel located close to the JR station and at about 15 minute bus ride from the main attractions. The building is far from nice but rooms are OK though dated. It has a bar and a restaurant which we have not tried. Wifi was only working in the restaurant. The lady at the reception speaks very good English.

In early March, I went Nikko for 2 nights staying after my Canada trip, I was traveling alone for leisure purpose so I picked this lodge with a decent pricing. Staff speaking good English, and I can see some overseas traveler working there as part-time job so the multinational culture is quiet good for me. Nothing much to complain about...

It is located in a grim-looking grey 5-storey building immediately opposite the Tobu-Nikko Railway Station (do use the Railway Station's Tourist Information Counter - they are very friendly and helpful). The people at reception were very welcoming and allowed me to check into the room well before the 3pm check-in time as the room was ready. The grim appearance continued...

The lodge is very well located, just across the station. It is conected with a bar/restaurant. I stayed in a 6 bed room and found it more comfier than most hostels in Japan. The bed are spacious and clean. The wifi is not that fast but works very well. The lounge is well organized. If you are on a budget...

Good location for entering/exiting Nikko. Room was large and bed was comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Environment felt grubby and dated. Free wifi with strong reception is a plus. I don't see the point of providing a kitchenette equipped with microwave, fridge, kettle, and cooktop when there isn't any crockery or utensils provided, we couldn't even make a cup of...
